Zac Efron Is Pumped After Winning An Emmy For His Netflix Show, Now Bring On Season 2

Zac Efron on Down to Earth with Zac Efron

Zac Efron has emerged as one of the brightest stars in Hollywood, having amassed roles in high-profile productions like Neighbors, The Greatest Showman and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. But let’s not forget that it was the small screen that helped launch Efron into the stratosphere. While he’s still doing plenty of movies, the actor has recently ventured back to his TV roots through his Netflix docuseries, Down to Earth with Zac Efron. Although it was a bit of a change-up for Efron, it paid off, as it’s now landed him an Emmy, which has him pumped. So… bring on Season 2, already!

For his work on Down to Earth with Zac Efron, the eponymous star was honored with the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Daytime Program Host. Following his win, Efron took to Instagram to commemorate the occasion with a sweet post. Check it out for yourself down below:

Zac Efron (or should I say Emmy winner Zac Efron) seems to have put a lot of time and effort into his show. Down to Earth with Zac Efron follows the entertainer as he ventures to different places across the globe like Iceland, Costa Rica and Peru. During his travels, Efron also seeks to examine different life experiences and closely examine nature and green energy methods.

Down to Earth premiered last summer in the midst of quarantine and quickly became a must-watch for viewers who were confined to their homes. Many would eventually take to social media to show their love for the show, eventually prompting Efron to even respond. Fans seem to love the beautiful and interesting locales the actor visited, but they also appeared to be captivated by his on-screen physique.

So of course, viewers are now wondering when they’ll be able to join the globe-trotting Zac Efron once again. As far as we know, Season 2 of Down to Earth is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2022, and it’ll be switching things up a bit this time around. Instead of featuring multiple cities and countries, the second season will exclusively focus on Australia, where Efron has seemingly laid down roots.

At this point in time, it’s hard to say what we’ll be able to expect from the new season of the show. However, a video posted by Zac Efron back in March should get fans excited, as it showed the actor getting up close and personal with some amazing dolphins.

Zac Efron has a number of reasons to be proud at the moment. Aside from his recent Emmy win, he recently wrapped on the upcoming big-screen remake of Stephen King’s Firestarter. He also has the release of his upcoming survival thriller, Gold, to look forward to.

Given that Zac Efron got his start on TV before jumping to film, his recent success with the former represents a nice full-circle moment. We’ll be keeping an eye out for his further adventures on Down to Earth with Zac Efron as well as his other endeavors.
