Amy Rachelle King, long the “foil” of the Duggar clan since their 19 Kids and Counting days, has decided to speak out after news that Josh Duggar had been arrested on one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography broke. In fact, along with some of the Duggar siblings making official statements, “Cousin Amy” has made her feelings clear.

In a statement this week, Amy Duggar King shared her feelings upon learning about Josh Duggar’s recent arrest on child pornography charges. (He has since been released on bail to a third party, though he can make plans to see his wife Anna and their children.) King said (via Today) that she was worried about the six children Duggar shares with his wife, along with the baby the couple has on the way, noting:

Who wouldn’t worry about that? My heart goes out to all those innocent, sweet victims... It breaks my heart, I really hope justice is served. I will just say that whatever you do in the darkness comes out in the light. If you’re going to look at such disgusting and sickening images, justice has to be served.

Along with her straightforward statement, the former reality star took to Twitter where she shared a look at Ken Jeong’s Community character Ben Chang holding a teeny-tiny piece of paper with the caption “a list of people I trust.”

She doesn’t outright say this particular post is Duggar related, but it is worth pointing out that Amy King has been open about being estranged from most of the Duggars in the past, after having appeared in a few episodes of Counting On in 2017 and 2018. She opened up and was actually fairly diplomatic about choices she’s made -- including wearing shorts during a time her Duggar cousins were in skirts only -- saying she was “happy” she went one way and the Duggars went another.

Intriguingly, Amy Duggar King does still communicate with at least a few members of her famous family. She recently posted a visit with Jill and Derick Dillard, who have also distanced themselves from Jim Bob, Michelle and the rest of the Duggar clan. They met up to celebrate the life of Mary “Grandma” Duggar, who died in 2019 but who would have turned 80 this year.

She formerly said she and Jill texted fairly often, so there are some Duggars that seemingly do make her teeny tiny list of people she trusts. Meanwhile, other Duggars have made official statements after Josh Duggar was arrested at the end of April. Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald released an official statement, noting,

We are saddened to hear of the charges against Josh. As Christians, we stand against any form of pornography or abuse and we desire for the truth to be exposed, whatever that may be. Our prayers are with their family as they walk through this difficult time.

Jinger Vuolo and other Duggars have also officially commented after Josh Duggar was arrested at a car dealership on child pornography charges. As Amy King has made it clear she’s on a different path than her former 19 Kids and Counting co-stars, this may be her last word on the matter, but we’ll be learning more about Josh Duggar’s case as his trial unfolds beginning in July.
