Jax Taylor made a name for himself while starring on Bravo’s hit reality show Vanderpump Rules, and it wasn’t necessarily a good one. Over the course of eight seasons, he was continuously viewed by fans, co-stars, and even himself, as an instigator, a bad boy, and somewhat of a villain. Now, Taylor and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, are pondering the idea of their newly born son watching the heavy drama and toxic behavior on TV one day.

Both Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright announced last year that they would not be returning to Vanderpump Rules for the upcoming Season 9. At the time, they said they wanted to focus on their “growing family” and “new endeavors.” But clearly, Taylor doesn’t think he can keep his reality TV persona a secret from his son Cruz, born last month, once he grows up a bit. He said to US Weekly:

I don’t think we’re going to have a choice [whether he watches it or not] because of the internet. He’s not going to be a huge fan of me.

We can only assume Jax Taylor thinks his newborn son won’t one day be a Vanderpump Rules fan of his because of negative behavior he displayed on the show. Vanderpump Rules initially got put on the map because of the huge drama in the first season, which involved Taylor cheating on then-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder with her best friend, Kristen Doute. Over the years, developments on the show only got more cringe-worthy, as Taylor was also caught stealing a pair of sunglasses and cheating again, only this time on future wife Brittany Cartwright.

Brittany Cartwright, who was only a main cast member on Vanderpump Rules for the past three seasons, inevitably took Jax Taylor back. The two even went on to headline a short-lived spinoff on Bravo called Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky. Apparently though, Cartwright has no intention of letting her son Cruz see those stealing and cheating episodes. She said:

We’ll guard him from some of those episodes. We’ll let him watch the wedding, when we first met, when I was first brought on the show. Stuff like that.

Jax Taylor has previously said that he was “happy” to leave Vanderpump Rules because he no longer felt pressure to put on a villainous persona, which he believes wasn’t truly him. He doubled down on this viewpoint, saying to US Weekly:

A lot of the stuff I did kept those shows going. … I had to keep it interesting. Buddy, your college was paid for because of that.

Vanderpump Rules is currently in the midst of filming for Season 9. Many former castmates from the last season have since been fired, but DJ James Kennedy will be back along with a few others who also recently just became first-time parents. We’ll see how the cast fares without Jax Taylor’s antics.
