90 Day Fiance's Andrei Gives Update On His Relationship With Libby's Brother Charlie

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After recently returned for Season 6, and fans once again saw some of their favorite couples continue their struggles in everyday life. This included Andrei and Elizabeth (Libby) Castravet, who are looking to make a bit more money with Andrei's recently acquired real estate license. The plan included a loan from Libby's father, Chuck Potthast, which meant including the rest of her family, whom Andrei has never really gotten along with. That's especially true for Libby's brother Charlie Potthast, who was responsible for some of Season 5's tensest moments.

The premiere of Season 6 revealed that Andrei had made some amends with Libby's family following the Moldovan wedding in which Charlie interrupted the wedding reception and insulted Andrei in numerous ways in front of his friends and family. Andrei spoke to Hollywood Life about his current relationship with Charlie and whether the two had moved on from the incident.

My relationship is still non-existent with Charlie and I don’t think there’s a possibility that it can improve. I don’t really care to improve it. I actually think he feels the same about me. And it doesn’t really matter. It’s like, I don’t know that person in general. It just is what it is.

Not surprisingly, it doesn't seem like Andrei Castravet has managed to forgive Charlie Potthast for what happened at the Moldovan wedding. That, plus Charlie's grilling of friends and family behind the "real" reason that Andrei left Moldova, almost led the two to a physical altercation many times during the trip. Given that this interview took place after Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After was filmed, what does this mean for Andrei and Libby's storyline the rest of the season?

Well, we already know from a preview for Season 6 that Charlie expressed strong objections to Andrei joining Chuck's business. Given that Chuck only agreed to consider giving Andrei a $100k loan if he agreed to work for his company and be cordial with Charlie, this may mean that things didn't exactly pan out the way fans may be expecting. After all, Chuck wouldn't cut Charlie out of his business for Andrei, right?

It's too soon to say with any certainty because any peace between Andrei Castravet and Libby's family could be temporary. The two sides have been at each other's throats for a few seasons, and their drama has more or less served as the backbone of 90 Day Fiancé for some time now. There's been a lot more chaos between these sides than peace, to the point that Libby admitted she has to separate time with her husband and time with her family.

I feel like it’s just a never-ending circumstance. It’s like I’m just going on and on, and you just don’t find a resolution for it. It is very, very difficult and I just have to pick and choose my time. If I’m going to talk to [Andrei] for a few hours of the day, then he has that time. And if I want to speak with my sisters, then it’s a different thing. I compartmentalize my day for everyone else.

Given these recent comments by the two, it doesn't seem Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After will bring any resolution to the ongoing in-family drama, though any improvement from Season 5 has to be better than nothing, right?

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 6 airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. The premiere already brought a lot of drama for fans to talk about.
