The Masked Singer: Top 3 Contestants Most Likely To Win Following Double Elimination

Warning! The following contains spoilers for The Masked Singer Season 5 "Super 8: The Plot Chickens!" Read at your own risk!

The Masked Singer took out not one but two contestants in a two-hour extravaganza, which brought the Super 8 down to a Special 6. The Crab and The Seashell were sent packing, and now that Bobby Brown and Tamera Mowry-Housley are out of the competition, the top contenders feel a lot more apparent.

Don't get me wrong, the remaining competitors are all incredibly talented. In fact, I think this is the first time in The Masked Singer's history that I haven't complained about a contestant still being in the competition that absolutely shouldn't. With that said, here's who from the remaining competitors has the best shot at winning in my eyes and being the next champion of this bizarre series.

The Yeti singing on stage and crushing it The Masked Singer on Fox

The Yeti

As the last Wildcard introduced in the competition, I can certainly understand any frustration that The Yeti had such an easy road to travel compared to other singers. With that said, he's also proven in just a couple of performances that he's one of the most talented, if not the most talented, competitor in Season 5. Plus, out of all the contestants, he's got the most showmanship with his latest performance happening on roller skates. That's some stuff that'll wow the crowds and perhaps give him an edge to win The Masked Singer down the stretch.

The Piglet singing on The Masked Singer on Fox

Piglet

The mysterious Piglet started out in Group B but has had no problem staying safe in the competition thus far. He hasn't had a bad performance yet, and his singing voice has blown the panel away time and time again. If Piglet is who we think he is, then it's no surprise he's one of the top contenders in this competition who very well may win The Masked Singer.

The Black Swan The Masked Singer Fox

Black Swan

Black Swan has been one of the less celebrated singers in the competition since her Group B debut, but it's fair to say she's been the most talented female competitor this season by far. Her singing voice is phenomenal, which is equally impressive because I'm not entirely sure whether or not she's an actual professional singer. If Black Swan can hold on with her streak of solid singing performances, she'll be my favorite to win The Masked Singer.

As for the rest, I can't get on board with the Russian Dolls because a multi-person contestant just feels unfair. Then there's Chameleon, who I can't back in good conscience since he's only rapped and has not sung. I'll admit Robopine just barely missed the cut, and if there were a fourth option for a favorite to win on this list, he would be it.

The Masked Singer airs on Fox Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. The competition is heating up, which as usual means it's time the show slows the pace as next week brings back the dreaded sing-along episode.
