Could The Falcon And The Winter Soldier's Power Broker Actually Be Daredevil's Wilson Fisk?

Wilson Fisk Daredevil Netflix

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has a big cameo on the way, and while many are still burned by the fact that none of those popular WandaVision theories panned out, others like me are fully ready to have our hearts broken and expectations dashed by hoping for the biggest and best cameo imaginable. In this instance, a theory has emerged that the cameo will be that the Power Broker is none other than Daredevil baddie Wilson Fisk played by Vincent D'Onofrio.

It's an interesting and exciting theory (suggested in a now-deleted Reddit thread), but is there any possible way it's true? There are plenty of reasons to believe Wilson Fisk could be the Power Broker. To start, the Power Broker is a mysterious yet powerful figure holding dominion in the criminal underworld with an iron fist. Wilson Fisk is oft known as a successful businessman and one that we saw throughout Netflix's Daredevil to be well-connected.

Fisk ended Season 3 back in prison, though it wouldn't be crazy to believe he'd found a way out in recent years and was in hiding in Madripoor. Plus, it would kind of work to his advantage to be there since extradition laws don't apply there, and a hero like Daredevil isn't going to have the means to travel outside Hell's Kitchen just to start beef with someone who isn't bothering the people he loves.

There's also certainly reason to dispute the theory, as presently known information about the cameo is that the character is not one we've seen in the MCU. There's still some level of dispute whether or not Daredevil and the rest of the Netflix Marvel shows are official MCU canon. There's no shortage of fans who would love to see Daredevil officially canonized, but the fact that it's also explicitly tied to Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, as well as tangentially tied to Cloak and Dagger and Runaways, makes all that a bit complicated.

There's also been a tease that the upcoming cameo would make audiences cry, and when has anyone ever cried after seeing an appearance by Wilson Fisk? Well, actually, I would probably cry because it would mean that Daredevil is coming back, and I've waited a long time for that, so I retract my statement.

Finally, we can't ignore the heavy rumors that Charlie Cox, the actor who played Daredevil, is rumored to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. With that movie set to arrive later this year, re-introducing Fisk would be a great way to get people talking about Daredevil again and build the hype to Cox's alleged debut as the hero on the big screen.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's big cameo is headed to Disney+ Friday, April 16. Would you like to see Vincent D'Onofrio back in the MCU? Let us know in our poll, and keep in mind D'Onofrio wants to return ask Fisk just as much as fans want him to.
