The Cast of Showtime's Weeds

During its celebrated eight-season run, critics and audiences alike were certainly high on Showtime's Weeds. Starring Mary-Louise Parker in one of her most acclaimed performances, along with Justin Kirk, Elizabeth Perkins, and Kevin Nealon in supporting turns, this darkly comedic series from Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan became one of the channel's popular shows, resulting in a sequel series, Weeds 4.20, which is now in development. With the announcement of this decade-later continuation, we asked ourselves, "What is the Weeds cast doing now?" Let's take a look and find out!

Mary-Louise Parker- Weeds

Mary-Louise Parker (Nancy Botwin)

As Nancy Botwin, a PTA soccer mom who maintains her upper-middle-class lifestyle by being a weed dealer, Mary-Louise Parker plays the protagonist in Showtime's Weeds. She received three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award for this acclaimed performance. She'll also reprise this role in Showtime's Weeds 4.20. Most notably, Parker is known for playing Harper Pitt in HBO's Angels in America, for which she won an Emmy. The actress was also Emmy-nominated for NBC's The West Wing. Additionally, Parker won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Catherine Llewellyn in Proof. She was also Tony-nominated for Prelude of a Kiss and last year's The Sound Inside. Her other TV credits include Mr. Mercedes, The Blacklist, When We Rise, and Billions.

Outside of TV, Mary-Louise Parker appeared in RED, RED 2, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Fried Green Tomatoes, Bullets Over Broadway, Grand Canyon, and The Client. Justin Kirk - Weeds

Justin Kirk (Andy Botwin)

In the role of Andy Botwin, Judah's irresponsible, fun-loving slacker brother, Justin Kirk was the male lead in Weeds. Prior to this Showtime series, Kirk played Prior Walter in HBO's Angels in America, for which he received an Emmy nomination. Additionally, he had main roles in Showtime's Kidding, Fox's APB, FX's Tyrant, NBC's Animal Practice, and The WB's Jack and Jill. Also, Kirk played a recurring character on Modern Family. The actor's other television credits include You're the Worst, Manhattan, Wayward Pines, The Blacklist, Without a Trace, Everwood, CSI, and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.

Additionally, in film, Justin Kirk can be seen in Vice, L!fe Happens, Molly's Game, Ask the Dust, and Nobody Walks. Hunter Parrish - Weeds

Hunter Parrish (Silas Botwin)

Playing the part of Silas Botwin, Nancy's first son, Hunter Parrish is a close character in Showtime's Weeds. Away from this series, Parrish appeared in Broadway's Godspell and Spring Awakening. On television, he was series regular on Amazon's Good Girls Revolt. His other TV credits include Hand of God, Quantico, This Is Us, The Following, The Good Wife, CSI, and Law & Order: SVU. Most recently, Hunter Parrish played a recurring role in Netflix's Ratched.

Alexander Gould - Weeds

As Shane Botwin, Nancy and Judah's only biological son, Alexander Gould played a hyper-intelligent but socially distant character in Weeds. Most notably, Gould is known for voicing Nemo in Finding Nemo. He also voiced Bambi in Bambi II. His other voice acting credits include Curious George, Superman: Unbound, Duck Dodgers, and The Life & Times of Tim. Furthermore, his other TV credits include Ally McBeal, Malcolm in the Middle, Freaks and Geeks, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, Pushing Daisies, and Supernatural. In film, additionally, Gould appeared in How to Eat Fried Worms, They, Mexico City, City of Angels, and Wheelmen. Most recently, he was heard in Finding Dory.

Kevin Nealon - Weeds

In the role of Doug Wilson, Nancy's fun-loving, weed-smoking, heavily irresponsible friend, Kevin Nealon plays a main character in Showtime's Weeds. Outside of this series, Nealon is known as a long-standing cast member and Emmy-nominated writer for Saturday Night Live. He also voiced the title character in Nick at Nite's Glenn Martin, DDS. Additionally, Nealon was a series regular in CBS's Man with a Plan. His other TV credits include The Larry Sanders Show, Dharma & Greg, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 'Til Death, and The League. Most recently, Nealon appeared in HBO's Room 104. Next, he's turning his web series, Hiking with Kevin, into a half-hour TBS program, per Deadline.

On the big screen, Kevin Nealon appeared in Little Nicky, The Wedding Singer, Daddy Day Care, Good Boy!, Grandma's Boy, You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Just Go with It, and Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star. He's also seen in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, Anger Management, Happy Gilmore, Coneheads, and The Master of Disguise.

Elizabeth Perkins - Weeds

Elizabeth Perkins (Celia Hodes)

Playing the part of Celia Hodes, a self-centered, image-obsessed housewife, Elizabeth Perkins was one of the main characters in Weeds for five seasons. She received three Emmy nominations for this standout performance, and she'll reprise this role for Weeds 4.20. Outside of this Showtime series, the actress plays Janet Malone on This Is Us and Jackie O'Neill in HBO's Sharp Objects. Additionally, Perkins appeared in GLOW, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Monk. Currently, the television actress is in the main cast for Apple TV+'s Truth Be Told and Fox's The Moodys, the latter of which she produced.

Furthermore, in film, Elizabeth Perkins played Wilma Flintstone in The Flintstones and Susan Lawrence in Big. Additionally, Perkins was heard in Finding Nemo. Her other film credits include Crazy in Alabama, Miracle on 34th Street (1994), About Last Night, 28 Days, and He Said, She Said. Romany Malco - Weeds

As Conrad Shepard, Nancy's initial supplier, Romany Malco was a main character in Weeds for the first three seasons. His other notable TV credits include series regular roles in No Ordinary Family, Mad Dogs, and Level 9. Also, Malco lent his voice to Unsupervised. Currently, the actor plays one of the main characters in A Million Little Things. Additionally, Malco can be seen in The Good Wife, Blunt Talk, Key & Peele, and Touched by an Angel.

On the big screen, meanwhile, Romany Malco is most well-known for playing Jay in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. He also played Zeke Freeman in the Think Like a Man movies. In the role of Heylia James, Conrad's aunt and Nancy's supplier, Tonye Patano was one of the lead characters in Showtime's Weeds during the show's initial three seasons. Outside of this series, Patano is known as Phylicia Evans in One Life to Live and the voice of Mrs. Thompson in Handy Mandy. Additionally, she can be seen in Law & Order: SVU, The Americans, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Blacklist, Younger, and SMILF. Playing the part of Dean Hodes, Celia's husband and the father of Isabelle and Quinn, Andy Milder was a recurring character in Weeds. Outside of this series, Milder played Lester Dawson in Disney Channel's Austin & Ally. He can also be seen in Parks and Recreation, Lucifer, 7th Heaven, Six Feet Under, House, Ugly Betty, Private Practice, The Middle, and Grey's Anatomy. Allie Grant - Weeds

As Isabelle Hodes, Celia and Dean's younger daughter, Allie Grant was regularly seen in Weeds for five seasons. Away from this series, Grant co-starred as Lisa Shay in ABC's Suburgatory. She also played Evelyn Silver on The Goldbergs. Her other TV credits include The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, All Night, Private Practice, and That's So Raven. Additionally, on the big screen, Grant appeared in Fanboys, The Runaways, and Struck by Lightning. Most recently, the former child actress guest-starred in ABC's Schooled.

Indigo - Weeds

In the role of Veneeta James, Heylia's daughter, Indigo played a regular character in the first three seasons of Weeds. Prior to this Showtime series, Indigo was known for playing Rona in the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her other television credits include Treme, Bloodline, Common Law, Boston Public, Any Day Now, Minor Adjustments, and NYPD Blue. Additionally, her film credits include Mississippi Grind, Black or White, Broken City, Storm War, Elsa & Fred, and Fractured. She's also heard in Madea's Tough Love. Renee Victor - Weeds

Renee Victor (Lupita)

Playing the part of Lupita, the Botwins' housekeeper, Renee Victor was prominently seen in Weeds. Away from this Showtime series, Victor is notably heard in the video game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Her other TV credits include Vida, The Super Man, House of Payne, ER, Children's Hospital, Witches of East End, Dead to Me, and All Rise. She's also heard in The Addams Family. Currently, Victor appears in TNT's Snowpiercer.

Demian Bichir - Weeds

Demian Bichir (Esteban Reyes)

As Esteban Reyes, the Mayor of Tijuana and the leader of the Tres Seis organized crime cartel, Demian Bichir played a main character in the fourth and fifth seasons of Weeds. Shortly after his time in this hit series, Bichir became an Oscar nominee for his lead performance in 2011's A Better Life. His other notable film credits include The Hateful Eight, Che, Savages, Alien: Covenant, The Nun, The Grudge (2020), The Heat, Machete Kills, Lowriders, and Dom Hemingway. Additionally, on television, Bichir had a starring role in FX's The Bridge. Furthermore, the actor starred in ABC's short-lived Grand Hotel.

Most recently, Demian Bichir was seen in Land, Chaos Walking, and Godzilla vs. Kong. Also, the actor recently appeared in December's The Midnight Sky. Next, Bichir will star in Thanksgiving and JSA. Additionally, he'll appear in Showtime's Let the Right One In.
