During its celebrated eight-season run, critics and audiences alike were certainly high on Showtime's Weeds. Starring Mary-Louise Parker in one of her most acclaimed performances, along with Justin Kirk, Elizabeth Perkins, and Kevin Nealon in supporting turns, this darkly comedic series from Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan became one of the channel's popular shows, resulting in a sequel series, Weeds 4.20, which is now in development. Mary-Louise Parker- Weeds

Mary-Louise Parker (Nancy Botwin)

As Nancy Botwin, a PTA soccer mom who maintains her upper-middle-class lifestyle by being a weed dealer, Mary-Louise Parker plays the protagonist in Showtime's Weeds. She received three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award for this acclaimed performance. She'll also reprise this role in Showtime's Weeds 4.20. Most notably, Parker is known for playing Harper Pitt in HBO's Angels in America, for which she won an Emmy. The actress was also Emmy-nominated for NBC's The West Wing. Additionally, Parker won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Catherine Llewellyn in Proof. She was also Tony-nominated for Prelude of a Kiss and last year's The Sound Inside. In the role of Andy Botwin, Judah's irresponsible, fun-loving slacker brother, Justin Kirk was the male lead in Weeds. Prior to this Showtime series, Kirk played Prior Walter in HBO's Angels in America, for which he received an Emmy nomination. Additionally, he had main roles in Showtime's Kidding, Fox's APB, FX's Tyrant, NBC's Animal Practice, and The WB's Jack and Jill. Also, Kirk played a recurring character on Modern Family. Outside of this series, Nealon is known as a long-standing cast member and Emmy-nominated writer for Saturday Night Live. He also voiced the title character in Nick at Nite's Glenn Martin, DDS. Playing the part of Celia Hodes, a self-centered, image-obsessed housewife, Elizabeth Perkins was one of the main characters in Weeds for five seasons. She received three Emmy nominations for this standout performance, and she'll reprise this role for Weeds 4.20. Outside of this Showtime series, the actress plays Janet Malone on This Is Us and Jackie O'Neill in HBO's Sharp Objects. Additionally, Perkins appeared in GLOW, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Monk. Currently, the television actress is in the main cast for Apple TV+'s Truth Be Told and Fox's The Moodys, the latter of which she produced.

As Esteban Reyes, the Mayor of Tijuana and the leader of the Tres Seis organized crime cartel, Demian Bichir played a main character in the fourth and fifth seasons of Weeds. Shortly after his time in this hit series, Bichir became an Oscar nominee for his lead performance in 2011's A Better Life. His other notable film credits include The Hateful Eight, Che, Savages, Alien: Covenant, The Nun, The Grudge (2020), The Heat, Machete Kills, Lowriders, and Dom Hemingway. Additionally, on television, Bichir had a starring role in FX's The Bridge. Furthermore, the actor starred in ABC's short-lived Grand Hotel.

Most recently, Demian Bichir was seen in Land, Chaos Walking, and Godzilla vs. Kong. Also, the actor recently appeared in December's The Midnight Sky. Next, Bichir will star in Thanksgiving and JSA. Additionally, he'll appear in Showtime's Let the Right One In.
