Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre ended up getting engaged in the Season 2 finale of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, but that doesn't mean all their relationship issues magically disappeared. The couple did a check-in on the Discovery+ series 90 Day Bares All, and it appears that some of the communication issues they suffered through during the season are still surfacing in various ways.

Chatting with Shaun Robinson about their relationship during their own segment, Ariela Weinberg did not mince words about issues she and Biniyam Shibre were having. Ariela mentioned one major problem from the start of their relationship and then really dug in on it after Robinson posed a follow-up question. In her words:

He's never home. Like, he's never home. And he doesn't text. I wish we had communication that was a little bit more like 'Hey baby I'm working I love you,' or something, but Biniyam is not like that. He doesn't answer texts, he doesn't get back to me, it's very hard. . . . He's out most of the time, and he's always with the same group of people usually again and again. So, we're not talking right now about work and the issue that I have if he was working. I'm happy if he's working.

As the conversation went on, it became clear that Biniyam Shibre had been spending most of his nights out with friends, while Ariela Weinberg was sitting at home with their young son Aviel. When asked about who he'd been spending time with, Biniyam explained that he's usually hanging with friends that are helping to try and jump-start his music career. Biniyam went on to say that in these long hangouts, they're often composing, doing choreography, and video work. Biniyam told Shaun Robinson that they are all still very much at work, even if people are drinking while it's happening.

Biniyam was cut off by Ariela mid-explanation, and she claimed one of his friends shared different information during a conversation she had with him. The unidentified friend told Ariela that while the buddies meet up with the intention of getting work done, one of Biniyam's friends is known get so drunk that no work can be completed. Biniyam didn't seem to agree with the anecdote and told Ariela that their mutual friend was "poisoning" her brain.

Additional troubles sprang up when Biniyam Shibre's sisters Wish and Mimi entered the conversation, as they both had negative things to say about Ariela Weinberg. While the siblings did say they loved her and considered her a part of the family, they felt her lack of embracing Ethiopia's culture and the language barrier has made it difficult for her to communicate with Biniyam and the family effectively. They added that Ariela does not enjoy participating in Biniyam's family get-togethers, which Ariela said can run anywhere from 12 to 24 hours.

There is definite tension between Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre's family, and while that was evident enough in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, the details about Biniyam not being around the house was new info. Ariela shared a specific story on 90 Day Bares All about a time where Biniyam was gone for a solid stretch of time, and later explained how his family had a role in keeping him hidden.

One day he didn't come home for two days, and I was looking for him because he didn't come home for two days... He was out with Wish actually. I called her upset and I was upset, and Wish, she hung up her phone on me and turned off her phone so that I couldn't communicate with her or anyone.

Current photos on Instagram seem to indicate that the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple is doing all right in their relationship, but social media is often biased in showing what the individuals want the world to see, as well as what works for TV in some cases. This latest update from 90 Day Bares All definitely captured some genuine and dramatic parts of that coupling, and it seemed like the pain suffered during some of those incidents was still there for all parties. Hopefully, Ariela and Beniyam are in a better place now, though I guess we won't know for sure until we see them in the franchise once again.

90 Day Bares All releases new episodes on Discovery+ Sundays at 10:00 p.m. ET. For more on what's happening in the franchise, be sure to read up on our latest speculation that Brandon and Julia have moved out on their own.
