Blue Bloods’ Tom Selleck Shares Nick Cordero’s Incredible Talent On Set With His Wife

Over the past year, COVID-19 has taken the lives of many people, with a growing number of celebrities in that list, which includes the stage, film and television actor Nick Cordero. Throughout his career, the actor guest-starred on many television shows, including the CBS drama Blue Bloods. That show's star Tom Selleck shared some kind words about Cordero’s incredible talent on the set with his widow Amanda Kloots.

Nick Cordero spent much of his career being one of Broadway’s biggest stars in such hit musicals as Waitress and A Bronx Tale. But among his impressive list of credited television roles to credit, one of his best-known was his portrayal of mobster Victor Lugo on Blue Bloods. In promoting the series on the CBS talk show The Talk, which added Amanda Kloots as a permanent co-host for 2021, star Tom Selleck talked about his experiences with the late actor.

I did wanna say something about Nick… You know he did [one] show, but when you’re so good, that you move a writer to write another episode for you. That’s a real validation as an actor., and the kind of actor he was. And when the crew goes ‘Yay!’ he’s coming back, that’s a validation for him as a person.

Amanda Kloots became visibly emotional as Tom Selleck spoke about her husband's ability to extend his guest-starring capacity.(Cordero guest-starred as Victor Lugo in a total of three Season 8 episodes on Blue Bloods.) After Selleck finished, Kloots applauded before showing her appreciation for his words.
