Peter Mark Richman After The Wizard

Actor Peter Mark Richman, who was featured in many notable movies and television shows such as Dynasty, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Three's Company, has passed away. He was 93 years old.

While Peter Mark Richman was a frequent presence on film and television since the mid-1950s, the actor strayed away from the spotlight in his later years, with his last credit on IMDB listed as 2016. Richman is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen, five children, and six grandchildren.

Peter Mark Richman passed away due to natural causes, according to TVLine. His acting credits are so numerous that it's hard to encapsulate his career within just a few roles. Richman headlined the NBC crime drama Cain’s Hundred, and it was all uphill from there. He was Dynasty's Andrew Laird and Old Peter Parker in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, to name just two.

Star Trek: The Next Generation fans may know him from the notable Season 1 episode "The Neutral Zone." Watch Richman go toe-to-toe as Ralph Offenhouse with a young Patrick Stewart, and maybe even give the iconic actor a run for his money testing the patience of Jean-Luc Picard.

As far as other notable television Peter Mark Richman has appeared in, the list is nearly endless. Richman appeared in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Fugitive, The Love Boat, Knight Rider, and yes, even Fantasy Island, where he played three different characters across three appearances. On the movie front, he appeared in The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell Of Fear, among others. Richman's career is truly the show of a versatile everyman and did not go unnoticed in Hollywood. The actor was awarded the Silver Medallion in 1990 by the Motion Picture and Television Fund for outstanding humanitarian achievement. Richman was also awarded the Sybil Brand Humanitarian Award that same year from the Jeffrey Foundation,

Perhaps the most interesting fact about Peter Mark Richman is that acting wasn't originally his career path. Richman played football in a Pennsylvania pro league before a serious knee injury led him to pursue a pharmaceutical degree. Richman got his license and ran a pharmacy for about a year before setting his sight on acting. He later added the name "Peter" to the front of his name once getting into acting, which was said to be a spiritual decision. In addition to his prolific runs in television and film, Richman has also participated in theater. It seems he was as versatile in wearing many hats in real life as he was as an actor.

CinemaBlend would like to extend its condolences to the family of Peter Mark Richman and wish them well during this troubling time. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for all the latest news in television and movies.
