After TikToker Seemingly Makes Up Claim About Kanye West, Lawyer Says He Must Apologize

Lately, it seems Kanye West has been making headlines even more than usual. He and wife Kim Kardashian are currently the subject of divorce rumors, which claim that the two could be splitting up soon. And from this, a TikTok user made a claim that the alleged divorce is partially due to West sleeping with YouTuber Jeffree Star, a claim Star has since denied. Now, the entertainment mogul is experiencing more TikTok drama, as another user has apparently made up a different claim related to West and his former bodyguard. Now, the TikToker has apologized after being asked by a lawyer.

TikToker Cole Carrigan, a makeup guru with a large following, recently took to the platform to claim that Kanye West’s former bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, arranged a meeting for Carrigan and West at a W Hotel back in November. Per Page Six, Stanulis’ lawyer shot down the claims, calling them “completely and entirely false.” The lawyer also adds that his client “denies, in the strongest terms, all of these false and defamatory statements” and says he’s never heard of Carrigan. Sources also tell the trade that West has never met or heard of Carrigan, either.

With this, Steve Stanulis’ lawyer sent a cease-and-desist letter to Cole Carrigan, which asked that he issue an apology to his client as well as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The social media influencer then took to TikTok to apologize to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. In the video, Carrigan goes shows off the letter and, while he doesn’t explicitly state that he made up the claim, he explains that politics motivated him to speak out:

In order to for me to stay out of court and not get sued, I have to issue an apology to Mr. West and Kim Kardashian West. So hi, Kim, if you’re watching this, I am so sorry, I honestly did this for the simple fact that your husband voted for Trump, and we simply can’t have that clownery in America, so you’re welcome.

Steve Stanulis was not directly named in Cole Carrigan’s video. However, his name and face were included in some alleged direct messages that appeared in Carrigan’s clip.

Steve Stanulis’ employment with Kanye West ended back in 2016, and he has since become a filmmaker. In the past, the two have actually had their own share of problems with each other, with Stanulis referring to West as “a bully” and even threatening him with legal action. But in this case, Stanulis seems to be sticking up for his former boss.

At present, both Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have remained relatively silent on this issue and the reports surrounding their relationship. It remains unclear whether either of their representatives will provide clarity when it comes to the reported divorce.
