The MCU is only weeks away from coming to Disney+ with the premiere of WandaVision, and the streaming service has found a smart way to prepare Marvel fans for the next chapters of the superhero universe. A new series is on the way to set the stage for Wanda and Vision's arrivals on the small screen as well as the MCU shows that follow, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki in the not-too-distant future.

Disney+ is debuting a new series called Marvel Studios: Legends that will deliver refreshers on the heroes and villains of the MCU who are on their way to Disney+ with new series. The installments will set viewers up for the adventures of characters who have so far only appeared on the big screen.

With the MCU currently comprised of 23 films, multiple broadcast TV shows (during an era that ended with the finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in summer 2020), and several Netflix shows, a refresher could be just what even devoted MCU fans need to get prepared for WandaVision and the other projects. Marvel dropped even more good news about Marvel Studios: Legends on Twitter:

Marvel Studios: Legends is launching with not one but two episodes, with one centering on Wanda Maximoff and one on Vision. Those two episodes will become available on January 8, just one week before WandaVision premieres with its first of six episodes on Friday, January 15. Assuming WandaVision sticks with the same weekly release that Disney+ has used for both seasons of The Mandalorian, the Wanda- and Vision-centric series will run through mid-February.

It's not clear at this point how frequently Disney+ will post episodes of Marvel Studios: Legends, but releasing the Wanda and Vision episodes a week before WandaVision suggests that episodes will be timed to the premiere of new shows. So, MCU fans might not want to expect any new episodes of Marvel Studios: Legends following Wanda and Vision's installments until March, when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is slated to premiere, presumably on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.

The next show following WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be Loki, bringing back Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief following the Avengers: Endgame timeline twists. The shows to follow will be What If...? in summer 2021, Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye in late 2021, and She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Armor Wars to follow.

You can find the Wanda and Vision episodes of Marvel Studios: Legends on Disney+ on Friday, January 8. The new year is bringing plenty of new options to television in addition to WandaVision and the other MCU series, and you can find them on our 2021 winter and spring premiere schedule.
