Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan And Other Marvel Stars Hyped Up Their Disney+ Shows, And Now I’m Even More Excited

Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision on WandaVision (2020)

2020 was supposed to be the year of the Disney+ series for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision both set to hit the streamer. COVID-19, however, had other ideas and, now, only the latter show will see the light of day before the year is out. The wait for the shows has been difficult, but we have had some nice snippets of footage here and there. Now, in a recent video, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and some of their Marvel co-stars are hyping up the upcoming shows, and it’s got me excited!

Marvel Studios and Disney+ appear to be unveiling another look at The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision for Latin America this coming week. MarvelFlix released a look at a promotional video for the presentation. The clip features appearances from Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who teased their upcoming shows. Guardians of the Galaxy alum Zoe Saldana also popped into the video for a moment. You can check it out for yourself down below:

While the promo didn’t show anything in the way of new footage, it was nice to see the stars talking up the shows. One of the best parts of the video was Anthony Mackie posing the question of whether or not Sam Wilson will take on the mantle of Captain America.

This is far from a sure thing, but this upcoming presentation could be an indicator that North America could get some more footage soon, too. It’s true that we did get a new trailer for WandaVision not too long ago, but we haven’t seen anything official from Falcon and Winter Soldier since that sweet Super Bowl spot dropped earlier this year.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision are two very different offerings from Marvel. The first is meant to be a global adventure series that will continue the journeys of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. Along the way, they’ll also encounter familiar faces in Sharon Carter and Helmut Zemo, as well as seemingly heroic MCU newcomer John Walker.

WandaVision, on the other hand, is set to be different from the typical Marvel fare. The surreal series centers on Wanda Maximoff and the resurrected Vision, who are living a perfect life in the suburbs. Of course, not everything is as it seems, and their new reality will gradually begin to unravel. The show will also feature a number of returning MCU characters, including an adult version of Captain Marvel’s Monica Rambeau.

Let’s not forget that there are also a number of other MCU shows in the works, some of which will introduce new characters to the expansive universe. We’ve still have a little bit of time before we can feast our eyes on new MCU content, but it should be well worth the wait.

WandaVision, the first of the Disney+ series, is expected to premiere on the streaming service before the end of 2020.
