The Mandalorian took the world by storm when it launched on Disney+ back in late 2019, but fans itching for merchandise found their options limited at the start. While that meant that Disney managed to keep the epic Baby Yoda secret instead of dropping spoilers via toys, it also meant a wait for everything collectible that The Mandalorian had to offer. Emily Swallow, who plays the masked Armorer on The Mandalorian, has shared the unexpected way she found out that she was finally getting an action figure.

Emily Swallow, who is also having a big year thanks to Haunting of the Mary Celeste and the final season of Supernatural, spoke with CinemaBlend. Although Mandalorian fans will all have to wait to find out what's in store for the Armorer, Swallow revealed how she found out about her action figure and what her reaction was, saying:

Oh, my gosh, it's a dream come true. I really was just giddy when I found out that it had happened. Because when I shot Season 1 back in, I shot back in 2018. And I was in some of the first things that they shot. They did all these scans of me with the potential of turning her into an action figure. But there was never, you know, Disney is very top secret. So nobody ever said to me like when or if it was definitely going to happen. So this whole time I've sort of been wondering as I see the other action figures drop. And it was actually out for a week before I knew it. Because I found out when I was on set for a TV show that I've been shooting. And one of the crew guys came up to me and he showed me his phone. He said, 'Look what I just bought,' and I had no idea that it even had been released. So it was like Christmas very early. And I'm excited because I know it's something that my nephews will actually care about. So it's pretty cool. I got to get one and see what kind of moves she can do.

Emily Swallow didn't find out about the Armorer's action figure from Disney or via any official notice, but rather by somebody she worked with who bought it! Back in 2018, not even Disney may have been able to guess just how much Star Wars fans would come to love The Mandalorian in a short period of time, and not just because of Baby Yoda.

Fans might not know much about the Armorer (or even what she looks like under the helmet if they haven't checked out one of Emily Swallow's other projects), but she was pivotal to some of Mando's biggest moves in Season 1, and could well prove to be key again in Season 2. Unfortunately for viewers who are dying for details, there is a tight lid on spoilers about what's in store in Season 2, with even some of the biggest and most prevalent rumors going unconfirmed.

The release of the Season 2 premiere on October 30 means that answers are finally on the way, but likely not all at once, and the Disney+ streaming model means that there is no binge-watching the series unless you want to wait until the full season releases and risk being spoiled. Throw in the pandemic that may be keeping a lot of people home a lot more often than usual, and what better time for an action figure?

Emily Swallow shared a look at the Armorer action figure on Instagram, and it's pretty impressive. Take a look:

The Armorer action figure comes well-armed, even if not with the rockets and blasters that Mando uses on a regular basis. That's not to say that she doesn't pose a formidable threat, and I certainly wouldn't want to get on her bad side if I was one of the leftover stormtroopers following the fall of the Empire. I definitely wouldn't hurt Baby Yoda in front of her, although she seems less affected by his cuteness than others.

You can check out new episodes of The Mandalorian on Fridays at 12:01 a.m. PST on Disney+ to see if Emily Swallow reprises her role. For some viewing options set elsewhere than the galaxy far, far away, check out our 2020 fall TV premiere schedule!
