Well, we're finally in the thick of things with Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette, aren't we Bachelor Nation? Last week's premiere didn't give us many clues of the (possible) major drama to come, but we definitely saw, without a doubt, that Clare was more than taken with Dale Moss and very interested in figuring out her own way through this process of finding love on national TV. The second episode is coming up tonight, so we're going to take a look at what the new installment might have in store for us with the second rose ceremony, some contestant conflict and more!
Alright, let's get going with some tidbits about what Clare and her suitors will be doing tonight. As you may have imagined, we are now in full-on dating time for Clare and her men. This means we'll get to see some adventurous Palm Springs resort dates on this fine night, and, according to Reality Steve, Episode 2 will bring us two group dates. Based on what I've seen of photos from this episode, one appears to be theatrical and touchy-feely in nature, while the other is sporty and seems to be the one shockingly teased last week, which could include some perfectly placed black boxes.
It also sounds like Clare will be headed out for her first one-on-one date with Jason Foster, who, I believe, was the guy from night one who talked to Clare about his desire to just live outdoors. Now, here's a big bit of info from tonight's outing. You know how we generally get a rose ceremony at the end of every episode? Well, we can count ourselves out of that treat for this evening. There's no word on whether or not Clare actually cancelled the rose ceremony (as was rumored to have happened on several occasions) and had to be persuaded to have it, or if producers simply decided to hold off on airing it until the beginning of the next episode. So, we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Along with that potential news, you might remember that it was originally thought that Clare would be leading the rose charge this season for four episodes, with Tayshia Adams then (we think) coming in as our new Bachelorette. But, Steve believes that the lack of a rose ceremony tonight means that the Clare drama will now continue for at least an additional week, with Clare sticking around for five episodes.
Now, on to that contestant conflict! Most of the teasers for the season have included a scene of Clare giving one of her guys a fierce telling-off, and that man is supposedly Yosef Aborady. It looks, though, like we will have to wait to see exactly what leads to all of that messiness, because it's not due to air tonight, either. Reality Steve believes that argument will start off Episode 3 (remember, Yosef gets kicked out before Clare hands out any additional roses), with the second rose ceremony to air some time after.
And, last but not least, we've also been treated to promos which appear to show some of the guys mumbling about how Dale isn't who Clare thinks he is. While this might actually be true, Steve sees those snippets as more of The Bachelorette's patented creative editing, with the negative things being said not really being said about Dale. He also thinks that the guys knew from the get-go that Dale was Clare's favorite, so any pushback he gets from them will be pretty standard, and not because of anything particular he says or does. Phew!
