Kaley Cuoco Is Stressed Out And Awesome In First Trailer For New HBO Max Show The Flight Attendant

After Kaley Cuoco won audiences' hearts over with her many years of work on CBS' always-popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory, she shifted to doing voice work for the R-rated animated series Harley Quinn, which is now an HBO Max exclusive. Subscribers won't have to look very far for her next live-action series, either, which will be debuting on that very same streaming service in November. Potential viewers now have a much better idea of what to expect now that the first trailer has been released.

Below you can check out star and executive producer Kaley Cuoco showing off her full acting skillset with the world's first extended look at The Flight Attendant, in a role she said was "an actor's dream."

Wasn't that a jolt-filled blast? Kaley Cuoco's Cassandra Bowden may have the same face as The Big Bang Theory's Penny, but they definitely don't share the same life problems. As seen in the trailer, Cassie first gets invested in a drunken night of erotic favors with Michiel Huisman's Alex but then wakes up to the shock of seeing Alex's murdered corpse. And with a hangover, no less. Just the worst, all around.

Rather than call on any authority figures who might be able to step in and figure out what happened, Cassie instead makes herself look like a prime suspect by cleaning up the scene of the crime. I'm glad the trailer showed Zosia Mamet's Ani straight-up asking why she cleaned it up, since that's the biggest question imaginable.

Of course, Cassie's problems don't end after the blood is soaked up. Thinking she might be able to get away with it by going back to work as usual, Cassie soon realizes the FBI is suspicious of her, to the point where she starts to believe that she might actually be the one who killed Alex. But does the Cassie we see in the trailer above look like a killer? Well, yeah, I guess she does in certain moments.

Her bloody hand is certainly a potential piece of proof that she did something nefarious. Plus, it looks like Cassie will turn into a complete alcoholic by the time this situation plays out, given all the vodka in her life. But the real kicker is when she's running around with her hair covered while wearing oversized sunglasses. Have you ever seen an innocent person doing these things? I think not.

With Arrowverse masterminds Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schecter also on board as executive producers, The Flight Attendant is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian. Beyond the aforementioned cast members, the comedic thriller also stars Rosie Perez, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews, Nolan Gerard Funk and more.

For everyone who needs something to do on Thanksgiving that has nothing to do with family, food, or football, The Flight Attendant will make its streaming debut on HBO Max on Thursday, November 26. While waiting for more updates, head to our 2020 Fall TV premiere schedule to see what new and returning shows are on the way.
