Hallmark’s Lacey Chabert Should Join DWTS After These Waltz-Oriented Looks At Her New Christmas Movie

Well, look at that. Not only is the holiday season nearly upon us, but with that festive time of the year comes something that many people look forward to almost more than all the glazed ham, homemade mac-n-cheese, and sweet potato pie they can eat: Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas! Star Lacey Chabert has been working on another holiday movie for the network, and she really should consider joining Dancing with the Stars after these waltz-oriented looks!

Those at Hallmark have been working at a blistering pace to catch up after the shutdown, and this year should see, across the Hallmark Channel proper and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, a wondrous 40 new holiday films to for us to enjoy. Lacey Chabert has been hard at work on Christmas Waltz, which is set to premiere on November 28, and posted some prime shots of herself on Instagram rehearsing for the dance-heavy film with co-star Will Kemp and choreographer Jean Marc Genereux. After spying all of her hard work, it seems like Chabert would be a prime choice for DWTS. Take a look!

Oooh, fancy! It looks like Lacey Chabert was really able to get into the swing of things (wrong dance, but I'm still counting it) with all of her studio time so that she could learn the choreography along with her co-star. I realize this is only a still photo, and I am certainly no expert on dance, much less waltzing in particular, but she seems to have some pretty good form and be throwing herself into dance prep as much as possible. And, that's definitely a skill that would transfer well to Dancing with the Stars.

Interestingly enough, one of the main comments on Lacey Chabert's photo was from none other than another Hallmark star, Candace Cameron Bure, who noted, "I see DWTS in your future!" and ended her comment with a heart-eyes emoji. So, this idea I have that Chabert could easily make that her next professional step isn't too far from first position. (I've got a million of 'em!)

Besides, Cameron knows what she's talking about. She is one in a pretty long line of Hallmark stars to have boogied their way across the stage at DWTS. Also in that list are well-known Hallmark faces like Danica McKellar (who competed on Season 18 just like Cameron), Chabert's fellow Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett (who'll be starring in his own Hallmark Christmas movie this year), Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, Jodie Sweetin, Marilu Henner, Christina Milian, and Jesse Metcalf, who was recently voted off of Season 29.

In case you're already worrying about the possibility that Lacey Chabert will end up enduring the fate of many of the celebrities who compete on Dancing with the Stars, and have the experience of dancing almost all day, every day (for weeks on end) leave her with injuries, never fear. Apparently, from her time preparing for Christmas Waltz, she's learned how to play through the pain:

As you can see, Chabert tagged the post with both #bruisedribs and #brokentoe! I don't know how either of those things happen during a waltz, but it's obvious that her midsection is wrapped to help care for her ribs, and she still showed up to dance her little heart out. That is true dedication to one's art, friends.

We don't have too much longer before we can see Lacey Chabert show off her prancing skills in Christmas Waltz. The film debuts on Hallmark, November 28 at 8 p.m. EST, while her second film of the season, Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas, premieres on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, on December 6 at 9 p.m. EST.
