Hulu’s TV Highlights For September 2020

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to middle school, Pen15 finally returns to Hulu's lineup, with a new season of teenage shenanigans ready for everyone to behold. That's not all that's coming on the Hulu Originals front, as a quirky new series starring The New Girl and Desperados star Lamorne Morris is about to take its first bow as well. In Woke, Morris stars as Keef, a comic artist that deals with an unexpected and unfortunate situation, and soon after experiences inanimate objects and drawings talking to him.

If you're a fan of animation all around, then you'll definitely be pleased with what Hulu is going to be bringing your way as well. Not only is Fox's Animation Domination lineup returning to Fox towards the end of the month, with favorites like The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers jumping back online, but the return of FXX's Archer for Season 11 is also pretty exciting. Our favorite f'd up super spy is waking up from his seasons long coma with a kickass cane, and a Jamie Lee Curtis guest spot, to help him get around.

Hulu’s Movie Highlights For September 2020

If you're one of those parents that has been annoyed about the fact that you've had to keep renting Trolls: World Tour, but still haven't found yourself purchasing the film just yet, you'll be glad to know that the Anna Kendrick/Justin Timberlake sequel will be available to those with a Hulu subscription at the beginning of September.

Though should the kids get to bed on time, and the mood for laughter strikes, the cult favorite Not Another Teen Movie is also coming to the big green library in the next month. Whether or not that provides the best performance Chris Evans has given outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be up to the viewer, but it wouldn't hurt to program that spoof on a double bill with the brilliant Knives Out. Last, but not least, action fans will be happy to know that while they may not be able to see Top Gun: Maverick in theaters until next summer, Tom Cruise's original Top Gun adventure will be there to help you find that lovin' feeling in the danger zone once again. (Maybe double-bill that movie with Archer.)

Hulu's September lineup is pretty spectacular, with new TV and movies coming to entertain one and all. So be sure to stream responsibly, and always remember that the titles above are subject to availability and change. If something's not where it's supposed to be in your streaming queue, be sure to check back with this schedule to see if anything has been moved along. We'll see you back here this same time next month, as October 2020's lineup is revealed, hopefully with enough spooktacular content to keep us hiding behind the couch.
