Why 90 Day Fiance's Brittany Should Just Come Clean To Yazan

Brittany Banks 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way TLC

Warning! The following contains spoilers for the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode "Fight, Pray, Love." Read at your own risk!

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way's latest episode was a mixed bag for the couples, and surprisingly, better for some couples than usual. Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee seemed to be getting back on track (for however long that lasts), and Brittany Banks looked to be embracing Islam in the way Yazan Abo Horira hoped she would. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite as ready to commit as he wanted, which led to yet another fight between the couple.

Yazan wanted Brittany to be ready to convert to Islam in the next three days so that they could marry and move on with their lives. Brittany, of course, thought that was way too soon to convert to a religion that required such a drastic lifestyle change, and reacted accordingly. She really did her best to make Yazan out to be the bad guy for putting the pressure on her, but let's not forget the major dirty secret she's been hiding since her arrival.

Brittany Banks flew into Jordan knowing she didn't have proof of her divorce to her previous husband and was told before leaving that dissolving that marriage wasn't a process that would be done anytime soon. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star told her father she would tell Yazan Abo Horira about that when she arrived in Jordan, but I've still haven't heard it mentioned.

This is important because, while Brittany has a litany of reasons she doesn't want to get married in three days, this is among the biggest of them. If the Jordan courts don't have proof that her former marriage has dissolved, she can not marry Yazan in the country. Brittany is doing all she can to buy time, but it looks like she's running out of reasons until the truth comes out.

I was willing to let Brittany slide considering all the problems before, but something Yazan said during the latest episode made me realize she needs to come clean. Yazan said the reason the three-day ultimatum is being given is not just because his family is putting pressure on him, but that he's ready to move on to the next phase in life and start a family. If Brittany isn't willing to commit to everything that comes along with a relationship with him, he wants to move on.

I think it's kind of crazy Yazan Abo Horira would drop this relationship so quickly, but I certainly commend his ability to state what he wants. Brittany Banks doesn't want to be the wife that he wants, and I think if he knew about the fact she's still not divorced, he would end the relationship. Which, let's be honest, it feels like that's for the best considering all the insane drama this 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple has been through. The cultural divide might just be too great between them, and they're both still young enough to find someone more in line with what they want in life.

90 Day Fiancé The Other Way airs on TLC Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for all the latest happening in the franchise, and for more news in television and movies.
