90 Day Fiance's Paul Claims Karine And Son Are Missing Following Restraining Order

Paul 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After TLC

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple Paul Staehle and Karine Martin have had their share of struggles on the franchise, but it was Paul's belief when they moved to America that life would be easier. Now, it appears the couple is on the verge of a split, as Paul is on social media claiming Karine and their son Pierre are missing following a big fight between the two that led to a restraining order.

Prior to this latest development, Paul had gone live on Instagram as police officers arrived at his home Thursday, July 30. Chatter from the video alleged claims of a physical altercation, and Paul was heard saying he had footage of Karine pushing him on a camera. He also mentioned that Karine was under investigation by Child Protective Services related to claims that said she was not properly parenting their son, Pierre.

The following day Paul went live on Instagram and informed 90 Day Fiancé followers that neighbors saw Karine, along with Pierre, get into a car without a car seat, and he did not know where they went. He claimed he had contacted Karine's mother in an attempt to find out where Karine and Pierre were in order to make sure they were safe but did not seem to get any answers. Paul shot the video from what appeared to be a hospital, in which he alleged he had tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease. Paul continued and said he would never cheat on his wife, leaving viewers with the implication that perhaps Karine cheated.

Hours later Paul revealed that Karine had filed a restraining order against him and posted the paperwork for followers to see. According to reports from Us Weekly, Karine's statement alleged Paul had hurt and sexually assaulted her and withheld documents such as her green card. Karine added that Paul would monitor her behavior through cameras in their home and would threaten to take Pierre away from her if she ever left him. In regards to the restraining order and accusations, Paul said the following (via In Touch Weekly):

These things on here — I know Karine’s mad at me, [but] I do not think she said these lies. I don’t think she knows what was written. I honestly do not think so, I really don’t. I’m in shock. So whoever went down there with her, decided to go and write all this down. I’m getting a lawyer and when we’re in court, I want a court-ordered translator there to translate everything that’s in the sworn statement to her so that Karine understands what was said and see Karine’s reaction in court. And at that point, I really want to go after the person that did this. I know me and Karine have had [many] over the last four years, this is not a thing she would say. She would never say anything like this about me.

As Paul hinted at above, this is the latest in the public marital issues the couple has had since they joined the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. When the couple was living in Brazil, Paul claimed that Karine was speaking to a lawyer about a divorce. The couple stayed together and moved to Kentucky, where we've seen them trying to adjust on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. The couple recently secured a home, but there has been tension over Paul's inability to find a job and provide for his family.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on what's happening in the franchise, and for the latest news happening in television and movies.
