Why 90 Day Fiance's Debbie Likes Larissa Better Than Jess

90 Day Fiancé fans know by now that dating Colt Johnson means making nice with his mother, Debbie Johnson, which can be a challenge. Larissa Dos Santos learned that the hard way and the blow-ups between Debbie and Larissa eventually led to Colt divorcing his wife. Now, Colt is trying to find love again in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? with Jess, though judging by his mom's recent comments, it's hard to argue that will end well.

Colt and Debbie recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and Debbie's thoughts on Jess compared to Larissa. In what may be the shock of the season, Deb has revealed she's a bigger fan of Larissa in some ways and doesn't like what Jess is all about:

Because Larissa's evil, but she's honestly evil. I'm not gonna say that, she's not evil, she's just ... I trust Larissa because I know her and I know what she's about. Jess is a total mystery to me...I just don't think that Jess is quite right. Because, I think she's a party person -- you're not -- you don't like to go out and party every night, where as she does. She doesn't really want to commit to a marriage, but she wants a marriage, but she doesn't want to commit to one. Still trying to figure out what's going on with her. ... They're so opposite, it's not a good match.

Debbie hasn't been silent about this in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and has told Colt several times it seemed too soon to jump into a relationship after his divorce. Nevertheless, she went with him to see Jess in Brazil, which has been a tense trip so far, to say the least. Deb hasn't grown more fond of Jess after meeting her, and there's a sense more drama is on the horizon.

Current social media has teased that Colt and Jess are no longer together, though Colt seemingly teased there is a chance audiences will see that fallout in Season 2. Here's what Colt had to say about what's happening with him in the upcoming episodes:

Let me tell you, a lot has happened, a lot is going on in my life. And that's what's great about this season is that there's a lot of that, actually. It goes in really interesting directions and you're gonna find out that the person I started with is not the person that I may not end up with or who I become...I feel like I've been running since I married Larissa, or before that, and I'm still running. I think I'm getting a little tired of running, let me tell you. So, we'll see what happens next.

To me, it sounds like that means 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? will not end with Jess and Colt together. Whether or not Colt will seriously take a step back and work on himself like he's teased or jump right back into another relationship is a different story entirely. I'd say maybe there's a chance he's getting back with Larissa since Debbie had something semi-nice to say, though it's looking like she moved on.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more happening in the series, and the latest news happening in television and movies.
