When Calls the Heart is getting called back to work. One star is saying they are “beyond grateful” as they take their flight to return to set, and the cast celebrates starting production on Season 8. Earlier this year, the coronavirus pandemic led to the television industry shutting down, and the residents of Hope Valley were not immune to the decision, which led to When Calls the Heart shuttering production on the upcoming episodes.

As lockdown continues to ease and shows prepare to return, When Calls the Heart is on it's way back, too. Jack Wagner, who plays Bill Avery on the Hallmark hit, took to Instagram to celebrate the welcome change of pace, and Wagner captioned his video by saying he was grateful to be starting the new season. Jack Wagner is obviously thrilled to be back, as he fills Hearties in regarding When Calls the Heart’s progress while at the airport. The series is readying to start filming, and if you are wondering, they are taking precautions, which Erin Krakow (who plays one-third of that controversial love triangle) filled fans in on not too long ago.

Erin Krakow explained that When Calls the Heart will be operating in pods to avoid contamination and filming outdoors as much as it can. But, it does not sound as though the drama will be employing any “latex mannequins” for kissing scenes. While it seems awkward, this is working for CBS’ The Bold and The Beautiful. As for Krakow, she celebrated filming by posting her traditional selfie, with a twist:

It is challenging to show off your expression in a mask, so Erin Krakow found a smart way to share her feelings via a post-it note. Krakow’s Sharpie-created smile included a fun caption for When Calls the Heart fans as she said that the selfie was a “plane” one (where she took it) and not a “plain” one. Nailed it!

When Calls the Heart is starting on the new season as one of its former stars has postponed their wedding. Daniel Lissing left the show back in Season 5, a decision that led to his character, Jack Thornton, getting killed off When Calls the Heart. In real life, Lissing had to tap the breaks on his wedding due to the pandemic.

When Calls the Heart is starting up almost a year after Erin Krakow had given fans a look at the set for last season. But, now, things should look and feel very different once Krakow and her co-star Jack Wagner land and get on set, and the popular series begins shooting.

The tweaks getting implemented are for everyone’s safety, so it should be a relatively easy pill to swallow. When Calls the Heart Season 8 is currently set to arrive in 2021 on Hallmark Channel. A date has not been set outside of it being long after this fall’s premieres. While you wait to return to Hope Valley, you can binge past seasons on Netflix along with new 2020 content arriving on the streamer.
