Nick Cordero's Wife Details Memorial Service For Late Actor, Along With Her Journey Ahead

Nick Cordero on BUILD Series (2017)

Many in Hollywood are still reeling from the passing of Broadway and TV star Nick Cordero, who died at the age of 41 following a lengthy battle with COVID-19. Since his wife, Amanda Kloots, first announced the news, tributes have steadily poured in for the late actor. Kloots was incredibly candid about her late husband’s experiences in the hospital and has continued to be after his passing. She’s now shared the details of Cordero’s memorial service with fans and is looking towards what lies ahead for her and their son.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Amanda Kloots revealed that she and a small group of close family and friends held a memorial service for Nick Cordero over the weekend. And while the day was tough, she encouraged attendees to celebrate the actor’s life and share fond memories of him:

We had a small memorial yesterday with close family and friends. I said, 'Nick would have wanted this to be a celebration. Let’s try to laugh, share great stories and sing for him and to his memory.' He would have loved it. It was beautiful and perfect. His spirit was definitely there.

Amanda Kloots also recalled listening to the song “I’m Here” from The Color Purple, which she and Cordero saw on Broadway years earlier. But it was during that moment in the service that Kloots said that reality really set in. She admitted that she is scared but firmly believes her husband is rooting for her and their son:

Truly, I am scared. Scared of my new normal, of the pain, the loss and being strong enough to get through it. But, I know Nick is up above routing for me, believing in me and hoping for me. He wants me to LIVE this new life and he wants me to be the best version of myself for our son. I promised him in the hospital that I would try to do that.

While it’s far from the situation Kloots would’ve ever wanted to be in, she plans to take things one day at a time, with her husband’s memory leading the way:

This is a long journey ahead and a down road I never thought I’d be on. No one can tell me how to do it, I have to do it. I may do things right, I may do them wrong. There isn’t a perfect way. One day, one step at a time. I have faith that God is leading the way and that Nick is our angel.

Amanda Kloots also included the lyrics to “I’m Here.” You can check out the post, which includes a sweet photo of her and son Elvis, down below:

Moving on after the death of a loved one, especially a spouse, is never easy, but Amanda Kloots seems to be handling her new situation well. And while her husband is no longer with her and their son, he certainly appears to be guiding their steps.

We here at CinemaBlend continue to extend our thoughts to the loved ones of Nick Cordero at this time.
