Jinger Duggar Vuolo Reveals She's Pregnant Again After Suffering Miscarriage

Jinger Duggar has some happy news to share, although not without also revealing a tragedy that she and her husband suffered several months ago. Duggar announced that she and husband Jeremy Vuolo are expecting their second child after a miscarriage in the fall, confirming fan speculation that she has a bun in the oven.

The Counting On star took to Instagram to share with her followers the exciting news about her pregnancy. Jinger Duggar revealed that she and Jeremy Vuolo are expecting a girl in November, and they "couldn't be happier" that their daughter, Felicity, will have a baby sister. She commented that she and her husband will have their hands full, but "there's nothing else we'd rather carry."

Jeremy Vuolo added to the sweetness of the reveal on his own account, revealing that young Felicity (who will be 2 by the time her sister is born in the fall) has been practicing "big-sistering on dolls," which includes cradling them and "shushing them to sleep" to prepare for when she'll get to hold a real baby.

Despite their happiness in announcing the bundle of joy on the way, Jinger Duggar didn't shy away from sharing the more tragic details of the miscarriage. In a lengthy post, Duggar said:

I’m excited! Yet, the overwhelming feelings of joy and anticipation that I’m feeling today are a sharp reminder of the overwhelming feelings of sadness and loss I felt last November. On a Monday evening, Jer and I were rejoicing with our families as we announced that I was pregnant. Yet, in God’s perfect timing, it was the next morning that I awoke knowing something wasn’t right. Within moments I knew that I’d lost the baby. Tears filled my eyes, sadness cloaked my soul. Having just lost my grandmother months before, the news of new life was like spring lilies blossoming after a dark, cold winter. And in a moment, that life was gone. I know many of you can relate. The minutes feel like hours, the hours like days, don’t they? I was helpless—nothing I could do would restore the lost life. Yet, I was never hopeless.

Jinger Duggar apparently didn't suffer her miscarriage until after she shared news of the pregnancy with her family, adding a further note of sadness to the story. Still, Duggar sharing that she never felt hopeless seems to make her announcement on social media all the more joyous.

Her good news also comes shortly after her sister Joy-Ann revealed her own pregnancy, which was 25-weeks-along as of early May. Joy-Ann Duggar is also expecting a girl, and referred to her as a "little princess" in lieu of a name reveal.

Jinger Duggar met Jeremy Vuolo back in 2015 on a mission trip to Central America, and they got married in 2016. Duggar gave birth to Felicity in July 2018. The family moved to Los Angeles in 2019, and are now expecting their second child. Take a look at the adorable photo Duggar chose to announce her pregnancy:

Only time will tell if Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo choose to share updates about the pregnancy themselves, but the upcoming season of TLC's Counting On will show more of their journey in announcing the pregnancy as well as their move to Los Angeles. The new season will also see the Duggars making masks for each other, which should be interesting after reports that they weren't following social distancing guidelines.

Tune in to TLC on Tuesday, June 30 at 9 p.m. ET for the premiere of the latest season of Counting On. If you're in the market for some non-Duggar TV in the coming weeks, be sure to check out our 2020 summer TV premiere schedule.
