Bachelor Spoilers: Peter's Mom Says 'Don't Let Her Go,' But About Who?

The Bachelor 2020 promo Peter Weber's mom Barbara cries don't let her go ABC

SPOILERS ahead from The Bachelor 2020, aka Bachelor Peter Weber's Season 24.

Who is Bachelor Peter Weber's mom Barbara talking about with her emotional plea, "Don't let her go"? The Bachelor 2020 just started, but we've already seen that promo play twice in the first two weeks.

Bachelor Peter Weber's parents have been part of his story since The Bachelorette. Remember how excited they were about his four times in the windmill with Hannah Brown? Yeah, that was ... something. The Bachelor star has a passionate family and Peter's mother got everyone's eyebrows up with her tearful speech toward the end of her son's journey, as shown in previews:

Don't let her go. Don't let her go. Bring her home. Bring her home to us.

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and Peter Weber confirmed Peter's mom makes her emotional "Don't let her go" speech during the last week of filming. That's traditionally when the Bachelor or Bachelorette introduces his or her family members to the final two.

In this case, Reality Steve has revealed Bachelor Peter's final two to be Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss, and Madi already met Peter's parents during the first one-on-one date. We don't know who Peter picked yet, or even if he definitively picked someone. Steve said Peter didn't have a "normal ending" and did not get engaged in his finale. He seems to fall in love on the show, though, since he tearfully says this to the camera in the new promo (which you can watch below):

I don't even know how to do this, my heart is broken right now. ... I'm crazy in love with her. And it's not over. She means way too much to me to be able to let her go.

Who is he talking about there, and is it the same person Peter's mom Barbara is talking about? And what's with the news Chris Harrison appears to bring Bachelor Peter at the last minute during the final rose ceremony?

I've speculated about all the ways Peter's mysterious finale could end, and if Chris Harrison's news is indeed what stops Peter from getting engaged in the finale. Fans threw in the idea that Peter could've gotten one of the women pregnant -- not the woman he planned to pick -- and that's the news Chris brings in the end that throws Pilot Pete's whole proposal plan out the window. Maybe! I'm open to all crazy ideas.

Back to Bachelor Peter's mother, though. I do wonder if she's just speaking in general of whoever Peter loves and wants to propose to, as opposed to advocating specifically for Madison or Hannah Ann or anyone else. (Spoilers suggest Hannah Brown is NOT a factor in the finale, despite fan hopes/fears.)

The Bachelor promos always take snippets of conversations, so what if Mom's full quote was something like "If you are in love and know she's The One, don't let her go..."

Chris Harrison joked to ET about Peter's mom's dramatic "Don't let her go" scene in the promo:

She's nominated for a Golden Globe, by the way. That's the thing, Peter is so close to his parents. His parents play a big part in this as well, and their emotion and all that is captured, you're going to see it. ... You're going to see it all play out. It'll take your breath away.

Chris Harrison previously said Peter Weber's season was "a wild ride. It is a turbulent, wild, emotional, gut-wrenching ride right up until the very end. ... You won’t predict how this comes to a conclusion."

We'll see! I'm still guessing Peter's mom doesn't have a favorite in the race, she just wants her son to bring home the woman he's crazy in love with. Sounds like a complication emerges in the end, via Chris Harrison's news or whatnot, but Peter wants love to conquer all. He's supposedly happy now with either Hannah Ann or Madison, per Reality Steve. But if that's the case, why is Peter so sure no one will guess -- or spoil -- how his season ends? The finale was held in mid-November and it's now mid-January and Steve sounds close to sharing more spoilers, once he confirms more information. It's an exciting horse race at this point.
