Disneyland Added Baby Yoda To The Park In The Most Adorable Way

Baby Yoda craze has swept the internet ever since the premiere of The Mandalorian on Disney+ revealed the adorable little Force-sensitive creature as Mando's sidekick/surrogate son. Whether he's messing with the buttons on Mando's ship, sipping soup, or just failing to understand what it means to "stay," he's just about the cutest thing in Star Wars since the Ewoks. Although there's a shortage of merch for fans who want to ring in the holidays with all things Baby Yoda, folks at Disneyland can find him in Galaxy's Edge now in the best way.

Baby Yoda was spotted at Disneyland, not sipping soup or eating frogs, but as a signpost pointing to baby changing station at Galaxy's Edge. Take a look:

I'm not saying the Baby Yoda sign for the baby changing station will make people want to have kids, but it may make an unpleasant experience at Disneyland a little more whimsical. All it took was the addition of some Yoda ears to the silhouette of a baby, and that bathroom automatically became cuter. People may not have been talking about this sign before, but the tweet is already getting plenty of attention!

Fortunately for Mando on The Mandalorian, though, Baby Yoda doesn't seem to require changing. Good old Mando seems to have missed out on any child care lessons before deciding to steal Baby Yoda from The Client and go on the lam with him. Mando more often attempts to leave the youngster behind on his ship than do things like feed and clothe him.

That is somewhat understandable, since Baby Yoda has caught his own frogs to eat and, you know, saved Mando's life from a rampaging alien by using the Force. For a 50-year-old baby, Baby Yoda is pretty capable. If he wasn't such a self-sufficient little guy, he might have died from malnourishment by this point.

That would be a pretty anticlimactic end for the breakout star of The Mandalorian, even if it is difficult to imagine Mando and Baby Yoda hanging out together in the long run. Mando has recognized that life with an on-the-run bounty hunter is no way for a kid to grow up. Hopefully any separation between Baby Yoda and his surrogate dad/babysitter/companion is a ways off, though.

Maybe if there were Baby Yoda signs around the galaxy like the ones at Galaxy's Edge now, Mando would remember little things like feeding the child and not leaving the child alone in a closet to wander sadly outside on Tatooine. Would their dynamic be as much fun if he was a competent caregiver rather than just a well-meaning improviser?

If you can't make it to Galaxy's Edge any time soon to see the Baby Yoda signs for yourself, you can always find Baby Yoda galavanting around the galaxy with Mando in new episodes of The Mandalorian on Disney+.

Unfortunately, the first season is more than half over at this point, and there will be a break between the end of The Mandalorian Season 1 and the beginning of Clone Wars' revival in February, but you can fill the Star Wars void with a whole bunch of other shows from our 2020 winter and spring TV premiere schedule.
