Wilmer Valderrrama currently has another CBS drama in the works, but his time as NCIS’ Nicholas “Nick” Torres continues! Having played the character since Season 14, Valderrama’s Torres has spent a lot of time chasing down baddies, which means plenty of stunts have come into play. However, there is one stunt that NCISWilmer Valderrama will not do, and it is for a super sweet reason related to his own dear mother.

When it comes to doing stunts for NCIS, the actor explained that he is game to do them, at least most of the time. However, there is one major thing that he will not do when playing Nick Torres, although before you judge, be aware that it is for a super thoughtful reason and an exceptional person in his life. Talking about stunts, Wilmer Valderrama said in a recent interview:

I enjoy doing [stunts]. I'm the only knucklehead over there like 'Put me in coach, put me in!' I try to do as much as I can. The only thing I don't do is motorcycle stuff because it really scares my mom, and I watch the shows with my mom on Tuesday nights. So I don't want her to do this [hides face]. But yeah I love doing my own stunts. I've been doing mixed martial arts for a long time. I enjoy getting sweaty on set.

How sweet is that? Wilmer Valderrama will not do motorcycle stunts because they scare his mom, according to his comments to Today. If that weren't thoughtful enough, Valderrama continued to prove what a considerate son he is. The actor also revealed that he watches NCIS with his mom on Tuesdays, thereby establishing that NCIS' enduring fanbase includes one of its stars' own moms! Cool!

I wonder what Wilmer Valderrama’s mom thinks about Torres and Ellie Bishop’s relationship getting more complicated. While the two remain good friends, the chemistry between them was palpable during a recently unplanned double date between mother and son. NCIS has teased that things could eventually develop in that direction, so keep staying tuned as the teasing could lead somewhere.

As for motorcycle stunts, they are dangerous, and Wilmer Valderrama is a sweet son to want his mother to be able to watch without having to close her eyes. NCIS is already enough of a high-octane show without having to see your son in a perilous situation. I can totally see where that could ruin her viewing experience.

Wilmer Valderrama’s mom has a lot to look forward to as she continues watching NCIS with her son. Ziva is on her way back to the show for another stint in Season 17. When she returns to the drama has already gotten confirmed. Cote de Pablo is set to reprise her role as Ziva in the December 17 episode of NCIS.

That is not all, as Cote de Pablo will also appear as Ziva in the new year. Expect to see her back with her co-stars (hopefully including Wilmer Valderrama) in the January 17, 2020 midseason premiere. She will be back for a “life and death” situation. Much like a motorcycle stunt, it sounds intense!

Wilmer Valderrama has been doing incredibly well for himself since his days as Fez on That ‘70s Show. Going from a sitcom to an action-oriented crime procedural has meant going from navigating big laughs to big stunts. Thankfully, he is thoughtful when it comes to tackling the latter.

New episodes of NCIS air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. The crime procedural’s return is one of this fall’s premieres. You can relive Wilmer Valderrama’s previous stunts as Nick Torres via past seasons via Netflix, along with other arriving new content.
