Former lead of The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, has been quite active lately offering up insights on recent seasons of the franchise and also planning her wedding to fiancé Bryan Abasolo later this month. But, if you haven't been getting your fill of the 2017 Bachelorette, things are about to look up. Lindsay is set to co-host the new MTV reality series, Ghosted: Love Gone Missing.

MTV announced the eight part series today, and, as you might imagine from the title, Ghosted: Love Gone Missing will deal with lost relationships. Ghosted will see Rachel Lindsay and her co-host, Travis Mills, travel around the country to try and help "distraught individuals" track down the lovers, family members or friends who left them in the dust without a word so that they can confront those that ghosted them and discover why it happened so that they can finally fully move on. The new show will hit MTV on September 10.

You can take a look at the trailer below:

With the exception of Rachel Lindsay's former franchise, I'm not much on relationship-based reality TV, but even I have to admit that Ghosted is a fantastic idea. While the term has only become common in recent years with the rise of dating apps, I'm sure that people have been abandoning romances, family members and friendships for centuries without bothering to tell the object of their ghosting why they don't want to deal with them anymore. And, when you add friends and family into the ghosting mix, most people have probably had it happen to them at some point in their lives.

For a lot of people, being ghosted is a semi-traumatic event. As you can see from the trailer, not knowing why someone has stopped returning your calls, texts, emails, letters, DMs and maybe even moved without so much as a word throws a lot of people for so much of a loop that they have trouble moving on. I, for one, just tend to assume anyone who's stopped talking to me has died, so I can wish their spirit peace and keep on keepin' on. But, I can certainly see why some need a clear answer for their ghosting before they can get on with their lives.

It looks like Rachel Lindsay and Travis Mills will be able to uncover some truly fascinating stories in Ghosted: Love Gone Missing, so it's probably worth tuning in just to see what kind of crazy situations led people to ghost those that they had previously been so close with.

You can check out Rachel Lindsay on Ghosted: Love Gone Missing when it debuts on MTV on September 10 at 9 p.m. EST with back to back episodes. For more on what you can watch on the small screen in the coming months, dig into our 2019 fall TV premiere guide.
