Who Kaley Cuoco Wished Would Have Guest-Starred On The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory Kaley Cuoco Penny smiles surprised CBS

The Big Bang Theory just ended its run three months ago, and fans seem very happy with how things turned out after 12 seasons. The CBS show had dozens of guest stars over the years, but there's one that Penny actress Kaley Cuoco wishes could've made the list -- and that kind of cameo probably would've made a huge bang in the ratings.

Here's the Big Bang guest star who got away, according to Kaley Cuoco:

Probably Jennifer Aniston. I love her so much, she's also my style icon. I'm obsessed with her, because she's always so effortless and cool. I don't want to say that it looks like she doesn't try, because she obviously tries, but she just looks like the coolest chick around.

Yes, as Kaley Cuoco told AOL Entertainment, she is a huge Jennifer Aniston fan. You may recall when Cuoco "died and went to heaven" when the Big Bang cast met up with the Friends cast during the James Burrows NBC event:

Having Jennifer Aniston appear for a Friends/Big Bang mashup would've been a big deal, considering Jennifer Aniston hasn't done much TV since Friends. But did CBS even have enough money to pay Big Bang salaries plus a Friends star?

The Big Bang Theory aired from September 2007 to May 2019, and had so many famous guest stars -- many from the science or science-fiction worlds, like Star Trek or Star Wars, but others who were just happy to join the high-rated fun.

Over the years, The Big Bang Theory welcomed [deep breath] Carrie Fisher, Stan Lee, Buzz Aldrin, Mark Hamill, Stephen Hawking, James Earl Jones, Sean Astin, Kevin Smith, Adam West, Billy Bob Thornton, Elon Musk, Christopher Lloyd, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sarah Michelle Gellar, William Shatner, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Sara Gilbert, Charlie Sheen, Octavia Spencer, Summer Glau, Danica McKellar, Katee Sackhoff, George Takei, Eliza Dushku, Joe Manganiello and many, many more. That's not even mentioning stars with recurring roles over the years, including Wil Wheaton.

Kaley Cuoco and the main Big Bang Theory stars are all moving on now to other projects. She has her "tad R-rated" Harley Quinn series coming up, plus The Flight Attendant TV project. Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston is returning to TV in a big way with The Morning Show, co-starring Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, for Apple TV+. That's set to premiere sometime this fall. Do you have a favorite guest star from The Big Bang Theory? It's finally sinking in now that a new season won't start this September, for the first time in 12 years. Sigh.

Gina Carbone

Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
