Disney+ is coming! Okay, it is still a bit off into the future. However, it is set to arrive before the end of the year and just in time for the holidays. If you are on the edge of your seat awaiting its arrival, you are not alone. It turns out that Disney’s jam-packed streaming service could attract more customers than research initially indicated.

If you are a big Disney fan, this news may not come as a complete surprise. Time to dig into what the numbers now say. Wall Street investment bank UBS conducted an internal survey, which revealed that 43% of respondents were interested in subscribing to Disney+, per Media Play News.

That is not too far off from the halfway mark. Not a bad number at all! In more good news for Disney’s streaming service, those numbers are an improvement from the previous prediction. It had set Disney+’s market penetration at 20% to 30% by 2030.

None of this is particularly shocking considering that the juggernaut of juggernauts is entering the fray. Disney has some of the hottest properties around. The arrival of Disney+ should give way to a fantastic rivalry between it and Netflix. Given that Disney+ is making its debut at a sensible $6.99 per month, many subscribers should be able to get both services.

I do not expect Netflix to collapse as a result of the competition, as some have speculated. An online survey did indicate that Netflix could lose millions of subscribers to Disney+ though. If that research comes true, it would mean a considerable loss of revenue for the breakthrough streamer.

How many subscribers will Disney+ have by the end of 2020? Analyst Ben Swinburne asserts that it could accumulate 13 million in one year and 90 million in five. Everyone invested in the streaming wars will undoubtedly want to stay tuned to find out if he is right. There is certainly every reason to think that Disney+ will be a huge hit.

Not only is it affordable, but Disney will also be offering subscribers a chance to peruse a stunning library of content. The streamer will be bringing its entire vault to the battle lines of the streaming wars. Disney’s CEO Bob Iger confirmed that news a few months ago (without using that analogy). That is not the only thing that Disney+ will be relying on to attract subscribers.

There are all of the upcoming Marvel television series, which Avengers: Endgame gave some clues on. Jeremey Renner’s Hawkeye is getting one, and he is not alone! Elizabeth Olsen will be starring in the upcoming Scarlet Witch television show for Disney+. The actress recently revealed that it has an unexpected timeline.

If that was not enough positive news on the Marvel television front, Chris Hemsworth is down for a Team Thor TV show with Darryl. Throw in the Loki series along with the Falcon and Winter Soldier project, and there's a lot to look forward to. So much television, so little time to figure out where to begin! Disney+ arrives on November 12, 2019. Once, you get through summer’s television premieres, the wait will have gotten a lot shorter.
