For NCIS fans, waiting for the return of the crime procedural has to be particularly arduous. No wait between seasons is pleasant. However, the crazy Ziva twist left viewers with no shortage of things to contemplate.

Well, CBS has revealed when NCIS’ much-anticipated Season 17 premiere will happen. The show will return on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Yes, fans have a few more months to wait before learning more about that Ziva twist. Presumed dead since the Season 13 finale (supposedly) revealed that she had been killed off-screen, Ziva seemed to come back to the land of the living.

It was strongly hinted throughout NCIS Season 16 that Ziva was actually alive. Following a case, Ellie received a note apparently from Ziva, asking her to keep the secret that she was still alive, for the sake of her family’s safety. Then things took another huge step forward.

In the NCIS Season 16 finale, Ziva appeared to Gibbs. She told him that she did not have time to talk and that he was in danger. Is she a part of Gibbs’ wishful imagination? Or is she really alive?

Well, that will be for NCIS Season 17 to figure out. As for Cote de Pablo’s NCIS future, it has been confirmed that she will guest star in the Season 17 premiere. Stay tuned. Now to the rest of the NCIS family.

When Will NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans Premiere?

The NCIS franchise excitedly ended its respective season runs earlier this year. Now that NCIS’ return has been covered; it is time to turn attention to its spinoffs' returns.

NCIS: Los Angeles will have its Season 11 premiere on Sunday, September 29 amid a football doubleheader. The eleventh season will bow at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS. It will start airing in its regular time slot (9 p.m. ET), the following Sunday, October 6. NCIS: Los Angeles went out setting up the JAG reunion to continue into Season 11. Lots to look forward to upon its return!

NCIS: New Orleans’s Season 6 premiere will take place on the same night as NCIS’, following FBI’s second season return. The spinoff will return on Tuesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Despite fan concern, NCIS: New Orleans and fellow spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles, both got renewed earlier this year.

The NCIS franchise will make its much-buzzed-about return this fall, alongside a lot of other CBS shows. It will be the first fall without a Big Bang Theory premiere in over a decade, following the veteran comedy’s series finale. Its spinoff, Young Sheldon, will be back though, and in its predecessor series’ old timeslot.

Here is when CBS’ other series premieres will happen. Please note that new series are shown in all caps. Enjoy!
