Jersey Shore's Snooki Says The Situation Is Living It Up In Prison

Snooki Jersey Shore Family Vacation

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino may be missing out on filming of Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 3 at the moment, but apparently his jail time he's serving for tax evasion isn't so bad for the reality star. That's what Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has said anyway, as she revealed her co-star is living it up behind bars.

[He's] having the time of his life. . . . It's like his in a senior home, he's playing Bingo, he's helping people recover in jail.

Prison has Bingo? That's surprising, but it's also good news that Jersey Shore Family Vacation's most beloved star is doing alright. The Situation has had such a positive transformation ever since the original Jersey Shore ended, so it would be heartbreaking to hear that being locked up had been even rougher on him than he'd expected.

Instead, though, it sounds like things are going well. The Situation is using his experience as a recovering addict to help others in jail. Might not help him get out early for good behavior, but it can't hurt.

Snooki told the New York Daily News that she and the rest of the Jersey Shore Family Vacation cast are still in contact with him, and have been sending him messages while he's behind bars.

We all talk to him through an email, so I talk to him like once a week. He's in the gym a lot, so he's probably gonna come out ripped.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation is currently in production for Season 3, so it's possible that upcoming episodes will show the cast corresponding with The Situation over email. It's likely not nearly as wild as the "group chat" they're all a part of on their cell phones, though Mike probably appreciates any and all opportunities to talk to his friends in the meantime.

When he's not keeping up with the latest drama with his Jersey Shore Family Vacation pals, Snooki mentioned he's hitting the gym. The Situation was formerly the pinnacle of fitness and the originator of the "Gym, Tan, Laundry" mantra on the original Jersey Shore. However, he'd lost a bit of muscle on the revival series, so if he's hitting the gym as hard as Snooki implied, then it's possible he could emerge shredded and once again in peak condition for the MTV show.

At the moment, it's still unclear how much fans will see of Mike Sorrentino on Season 3 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Cameras were rolling during his wedding to Lauren Pesce, and it's possible MTV has been given access to document some of his stay in jail. Still, with the season due to arrive in the Summer, it's unlikely we'll be seeing The Sitch chilling out with his friends on any sort of vacation this time around.

That's probably fine, as the litany of developments in the other cast members' lives may make Mike's absence the least jarring thing about Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 3.
