Daniel Radcliffe Defends His Obsession With The Bachelor

Daniel Radcliffe Good Morning America

One of The Bachelor's most famous fans is speaking out. Daniel Radcliffe is currently doing press for his upcoming TBS comedy Miracle Workers, but he's also defending his obsession with the ABC reality series. The former Harry Potter actor went on a tangent about his love for The Bachelor during an interview with Good Morning America, saying he's no longer denying his fandom to others. Here's what he said in answer to a fan's question on his current pop culture interests.

The Bachelor, I'm doing a lot of. I say this to people and they seem surprised. I would also like to say I used to be, like, one of those guys that was like, 'Yeah, you know, my girlfriend makes me watch it.' It's not. I'm making the choice. It's me. Week after week. Yeah. I'm very obsessed, particularly with this season. Also, he seems like a nice person this season. They haven't all been.

Daniel Radcliffe had some kind words for Colton Underwood, and noted his niceness compared to past contestants on The Bachelor. Was that low-key shade at Arie Luyendyk Jr. Daniel Radcliffe was throwing out there, or just a testament to Colton and his positive attitude? We can't say for sure, although it does appear that this season of The Bachelor has the magical seal of approval from "The Boy Who Lived."

Daniel Radcliffe also admitted to Good Morning America he's no longer one of those people who pretends someone else is making him watch the show, and has taken ownership of his Bachelor fandom. Granted, the actor said it wasn't always like that, and he used to dismiss the series heavily before he finally got immersed in the appeal -- like so many skeptics have before and after him.

I think I used to be really annoying and snobby about it and then I actually started watching it and I'm like, 'Nah, I like it.'

Daniel Radcliffe is just the latest celebrity to profess his love of The Bachelor, and joins many other famous faces like Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Lawrence, John Mayer, and January Jones. Who wouldn't want to be at a watch party with those folks? Better yet, can all of these folks get together for a motion picture that chronicles the franchise's wildest moments? Many might prefer a season where Radcliffe is The Bachelor, but chances are his girlfriend wouldn't appreciate that.

The Bachelor airs on ABC Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET. One doesn't need magic to figure out the times and return dates of their favorite shows, of course -- you can use the internet!
