With so much nostalgia going around, it stands to reason that the wave would arrive at the Mickey Mouse Club's door. In the early 90's the variety show was home to a host of pop culture's future megastars. Before she was known for belting out her smash hits "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops! ... I Did It Again," Britney Spears was part of the show's cast. So, would she return for a reunion? Here is what Spears said:

It was a really good time. It was a great time. It was probably one of the most special times in my life, The Mickey Mouse Club. They would have to plan it. I would definitely show up. I would go, definitely.

Well, if The Mickey Mouse Club can make a reunion happen, they can put Britney Spears down as one of the guests. It is cool to hear she wants in on the potential reunion. In her response to ET, she gave some potential hints for why she would be so open to the idea. The groundwork for most reunions comes from former cast members having positive feelings towards their former show, and it sounds like that may be the case for Spears.

So, that is one superstar down and quite a few more to go. When Britney Spears was part of the cast, her co-stars included Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, Keri Russell, and Justin Timberlake. Those are a few people that are pretty crucial to pop culture as we know it. Since their time together singing and dancing, some have continued to do both, while Gosling and Russell went on to have prestigious and critically acclaimed acting careers.

What exactly a Mickey Mouse Club reunion would include is a question unto itself. Whether it would just be an interview with former cast members, or them doing a full-fledged episode of the show, it would be neat. As curious as fans may be to see them revisit and share past stories, many of them have delved into that time during interviews throughout the years. There would be a cool essence to them talking about it together, though. There would be no shortage of things for them to discuss during a reunion.

The press pitted Britney Spears and her former castmate Christina Aguilera as pop music rivals. And Spears went on to date fellow Mouseketeer Justin Timberlake for several years. It goes without saying that a lot has happened since then, so there would be a lot for them to sift through and reflect on. The reunion would also need to include a brief snippet with the Mickey Mouse Club casting director(s) that got the '92 group together to talk about whether or not they thought they had assembled future superstars.

This Mickey Mouse Club reunion would have everything. Britney Spears saying she would attend one is a huge step in the right direction to making it happen. In case anyone was wondering, if this reunion were to happen many would undoubtedly watch it, including yours truly.
