There's a pressure that comes with performing in a production like Hamilton, according to Lin-Manuel Miranda. In fact, the actor recently revealed he tried to rip an IV out in order to make sure he sang in from of power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z. He explained more about missing that night at the theater during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, telling the host, audience and some of his co-stars:

You were scared of getting sick and calling out. I got sick once in the year I performed it and I missed Beyoncé and Jay-Z.' ... 'I was pulling the IV out of my arm, I had a fever of 104. And my wife was like, 'Stay in bed.' I was like,' I can do it, I can do it.' Yeah, you just couldn't miss. Because it was like the Internet came to the show every night.

When you are a part of a production as popular as Hamilton, you get to schmooze with and perform for some major a-listers, and you will often become a celebrity yourself. However, sometimes this means working harder than you've ever worked at anything else. While filming The Graham Norton Show with fellow Mary Poppins Returns actress Emily Blunt and other actors, he revealed that famous people really did come to see Hamilton almost every night.

In fact, he was only sick one night during the year he performed Hamilton. Of course, that was the night Queen Bey chose to attend the popular musical along with her famous producer and rapper husband. He was so heartsick over not being able to put out a performance, his wife had to physically keep him from trying to perform.

Of course, Lin-Manuel Miranda did get to schmooze with some other celebrity's while Hamilton moved around the globe, and Graham Norton shared a look at Miranda spending time with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which you can take a look at, below.

He also performs a bit of "My Shock" for the crowd, noting that's the one song from the show that is the hardest to get lyrically and that he has had to practice after he realized Meghan Markle was savvier regarding the lyrics he wrote than he himself was.

Lin-Manuel Miranda will be performing in Hamilton again in the new year when the show heads to Puerto Rico, but you can see him on the big screen right now in Mary Poppins Returns. In addition, he's also producing the In The Heights movie and is set to appear in the new His Dark Materials TV show.

On the bright side, if he gets sick on any of those projects, he won't have to worry about disappointing Beyonce this time around.
