In this week's Robin Hood, Jamie Foxx plays Little John, the loyal companion of the title character (played by Taron Egerton). These thieves are known for their hearts of gold, as they steal from the rich (like the sinister Sheriff of Nottingham) and give to the poor. But when you're a famous, award-winning actor like Jamie Foxx, you have to take extra precautions to make sure that fate doesn't befall you. Sure enough, Foxx gave golden advice to guarantee you're not robbed in Hollywood, saying:
Stay off your Instagram telling everybody where you're at ... You better start posting that thing like three or four days after. And I ain't got nothing in my house ... That's all it is -- a house -- if they want to take a house.
Jamie Foxx does have a point. As Page Six notes, there are several celebrities who have found their houses robbed after they showcased their stuff on Instagram. Those celebrities include, but aren't limited to, Hilary Duff, Jenson Button and Kim Kardashian West. You have to be careful what you post. It sounds like Foxx has a practical mindset, and he might need it. Based on his fame and notoriety, the actor needs to be very mindful about his stuff.
It's never fun to be the victim of a robber, no matter how rich you might be. It sounds like Jamie Foxx is considerate about what he posts on social media and where he keeps his stuff. You can't be too precautious. And if you put your house in view of everyone, there's a good chance someone might be assessing your place and planning a heist of their own. It's not clear if working on Robin Hood made Foxx more pragmatic on these matters or not. But being in this film likely meant that the actor expected to be asked these type of questions on the red carpet and during interviews.
Robin Hood is now playing in theaters. Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx is soon set to debut as a writer/director with All-Star Weekend, the new comedy that is expected to be released on February 22, 2019. He will also be playing a couple roles in the film. Foxx is also slated to appear in Just Mercy, the biopic centered around civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson (played by Michael B. Jordan). It is set to be released on January 17th, 2020. He is also picked to play the next cinematic variation of Spawn, which will be written and directed by the comic book character's creator, Todd McFarlane.
