Gisele Bundchen Regrets Getting A Boob Job After Breastfeeding

Gisele Bundchen CBS interview

Looking back on her life and her luxurious career, Gisele Bündchen carries a few regrets. Specifically, the famous model believes she shouldn't have gotten a boob job, notably after being the mother of two children. It has carried challenges that she now finds difficult, and she wasn't afraid to admit those challenges during a recent interview to promote her new memoir, Lessons: My Path To A Meaningful Life. Here's what Gisele Bündchen said.

I was always praised for my body, and I felt like people had expectations from me that I couldn't deliver. I felt very vulnerable because I can work out, I can eat healthy, but I can't change the fact that both of my kids enjoyed the left boob more than the right. All I wanted was for them to be even and for people to stop commenting on it.

In the open-hearted People interview, Gisele Bündchen talked about her reflections during the press rounds for her forthcoming autobiography, which is hitting shelves on October 2nd. The world-famous model is the mother of two children: Benjamin (8) and Vivian (5). She shares those children with Patriots football player Tom Brady, whom she married in 2009. Bündchen claims that since she began the breastfeeding process, her boobs have apparently become both smaller and slightly uneven. And this knowledge has weighed heavily on the mother and model, to the point where she claims that she doesn't recognize the body she holds. The pressure and confusion it brought were a lot to deal with, as Gisele admits later in this interview.

When I woke up, I was like, 'What have I done?' I felt like I was living in a body I didn't recognize. For the first year I wore [baggy] clothes because I felt uncomfortable.

In the book, the author claims she got the breast augmentation in 2015. The decision was made privately, as many decisions are for the typically-discreet model, but she claims she has held regrets about the decision ever since. Based on the quote above, it sounds like even after she got the surgery, she found herself questioning the decision. It doesn't sound like it brought her any happiness, and it has proven difficult during the breastfeeding process. Both children were apparently breastfed for more than 18 months. The decision from Gisele did little help for her self-esteem.

Evidently, it's a hard topic to discuss, and Gisele Bündchen's open-hearted confessions will likely showcase what readers can expect from her new book when it arrives on bookshelves and wherever else books are sold next month. It should also be noted that Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life is apparently written in the style of a journal, which will give the experience of reading from her personal reflections. That should only add to the open nature of the text, and how she will be talking about subjects matters that are both confessional in nature and also, sometimes, difficult to reflect upon.
