HeroBlend #50: Shazam! 2 And Hellboy Reactions

Welcome to HeroBlend #50! This week, Eric and Adrienne are going to talk about what might happen in Shazam! 2 and give a spoiler free reaction to Hellboy! First, though, we've got a lot of wonderful superhero news from the week to go over. So, we'll be letting you in on how Shazam! did over its opening weekend, more Avengers: Endgame ticket selling records, the big update on Idris Elba and The Suicide Squad, how that big cameo in Shazam! was supposed to happen, how long it might be until we see the X-Men in the MCU, the latest Avenger to be rumored to get their own TV show and a lot more!

Next, we need to talk about Shazam! 2. After a solid opening weekend and good reviews, the sequel has already gotten the go-ahead, so we'll be talking about what we might see from the new movie as well as when we might finally have it hit theaters. We will go over the major comic story that might end up in the film, why they need to get going on it as soon as possible, who's working on it, questions we have about the villains and the Shazam! Family, and, most importantly, when we might actually get to see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Black Adam on the big screen and when we might finally get to see him and Shazam! duke it out!

Last, we have to talk about Hellboy. Eric got to preview this rebooted tale last weekend, so he's going to give us a spoiler free rundown of what he liked and didn't like, including talk about the plot, tone, whether or not this is actually a horror movie as it was originally promised to be, the performances and a lot more! Plus, Eric will rank his three lowest rated superhero movies of the past few months and tell us which is the bottom of the barrel and which one meant well, but still fell way short of expectations. Now, sit back and relax, folks, because this is one chat you're not going to want to miss. Ready to dive in? Great! Listen for yourself above!
