Here's What The Batman, The Flash, Aquaman 2 And More Are Bringing To DC FanDome 2021

DC FanDome 2021

When Warner Bros. appeared in Las Vegas at the annual CinemaCon convention, which celebrates the movies coming to theaters over the next few months, there was a noticeable absence of DC Comics programming -- even though there are several DCEU movies heading to our multiplexes. WB must have known that they had DC FanDome on the horizon, and saved all of its anticipated content for the pending celebration of all things superhero, because the slate of that event has been announced and it’s going to be a massive, hefty day of DC programming.

Let’s stay focused on the film side of the DC FanDome slate, which is going to arrive on Saturday, October 16, as an all-day, global fan event beginning at 10 am PST. We expect to get a complete schedule closer to release, but as part of Warner Bros.’ announcement this morning, we now can confirm that the following anticipated DC movies are going to be part of FanDome, which likely means new footage: James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom; Matt Reeves’ The Batman; Jaume Collet-Serra’s Black Adam, starring The Rock; Andy Muschiettit’s The Flash; David Sandberg’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods; and more.

And here, according to a press release from Warner Bros., is exactly what we can expect from each of those films!

An exclusive new trailer for The Batman, new content from DC League of Super-Pets, a first look at Black Adam, a sneak peek at The Flash, and behind the scenes looks at Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

The Batman has been in production the longest. Knowing that Matt Reeves, at one point, was aiming to have that movie in theaters this October, he might even have an existing cut of the finished film. So the next trailer might be able to show off an insane amount of footage. When it comes to movies like Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, they’re both either still in production or are close to wrapping up, so behind-the-scenes looks are more appropriate.

As part of the hype, DC FanDome released this trailer for the event:

All DC FanDome programming will be captioned in multiple languages, including Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. And DC FanDome will again be completely free to all fans worldwide. The initial event, DC FanDome 2020 brought together the largest gathering of talent, announcements and content reveals in DC history. DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes and DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse generated over 22 million global views across 220 countries and territories, with more than 150 million views of trailer content. We expect the same response, if not bigger, to the new event, so carve out October 16 on your calendar, DC fans. See you there!
