After a long wait, The Marvel Cinematic Universe finally returned to theaters with Cate Shortland’s Black Widow. The solo flick revealed the dark story behind Scarlett Johansson’s title character, while also introducing us to newcomers like Florence Pugh’s Yelena. And now both Johansson and Pugh have revealed which other MCU heroes’ powers they’d love to have.

Despite being completely badass in Black Widow, both Natasha and Yelena don’t actually possess any superpowers. As such, the pair of Oscar nominees were asked which abilities they’d like to have on the big screen. And their choices were solid, with Scarlett Johansson going with a fan favorite:

I think I would probably go with Scarlet Witch. I really just want to know how to do those weird hand gestures. … It looks like a ‘90s rave situation.

Same, though. Elizabeth Olsen brings a specific physicality to her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, specifically her creepy hand-ography. And it seems that’s exactly what attracted Scarlet Johansson to her choice: to learn those signature Wanda hands.

Scarlett Johansson’s comments to LAD Bible are sure to resonate with Marvel fans, especially after the acclaimed run of WandaVision. That series started Phase Four of the MCU, and allowed Scarlet Witch to finally take the spotlight. As such, there are plenty of folks out there who have been practicing their Wanda hand-ography.

Of course, Florence Pugh also got in on the fun of this question. Moviegoers really responded to her new character joining the MCU, and are eager to see where she pops up next. And when asked which superpower she’d like to have, the Midsommar actress responded with:

I think I’d be Thor. Definitely the hair because the hair looks better than my hair. Just to be able to just throw that big, heavy hammer and only you can grab it.

Another solid choice by the Black Widow sisters. It looks like Florence Pugh is ready for the powers that come with the God of Thunder. On top of the electricity and wielding of Mjolnir, Pugh is also eager to have Thor’s flowing locks. Maybe that’s his real superpower.

We’ll just have to wait and see where Black Widow’s Yelena shows up next, and if she gets to crossover with either Wanda and/or Thor. The movie’s post-credits scene certainly teased one story, but some fans are hoping that Yelena eventually joins The Avengers as the new Black Widow. Only time will tell.

Black Widow is in theaters now. Be sure to check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
