Given the popularity of the comic book genre, there is no shortage of superhero movies coming to the big screen. DC’s Batman is arguably the most beloved hero of all time, so he’s been adapted a number of times. The next of these is Matt ReevesThe Batman, which will star Robert Pattinson in the title role. But a wild rumor about the DC flick indicates that Pattinson’s sequel could already be in jeopardy. Hopefully it’s not true.

Anticipation for The Batman has been steadily building, with limited footage arriving last summer that revealed Matt Reeves’ ultra-realistic vision for the blockbuster. Fans are eager to see him face a trio of villains, and there are also plenty of theories about who might pop up in a potential sequel. Unfortunately a rumor surrounding The Batman is that Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves are feuding, with the Twilight actor not wanting to work with Reeves again in the future.

This wild report comes to us from WeGotThisCovered, and should be taken with a giant grain of salt. Still, it’s enough to get DC fans quaking in their boots. Because given how striking the visuals from The Batman have been, moviegoers are hoping that Robert Pattinson has a long tenure as Gotham’s Protector.

Following The Batman, Matt Reeves is also expected to bring a prequel series to HBO Max. You can use this link to sign up for the streaming service.

Rumors that Robert Pattinson is feuding so much with The Batman director Matt Reeves is no doubt surprise, as Pattinson is seemingly only beginning his run as Bruce Wayne. Especially since the Tenet actor has already agreed to a $20 million payday for the movie’s sequel. Of course, that payday couldn’t happen if he’s refusing to work with Reeves again.

Robert Pattinson isn’t necessarily an actor who is known for being difficult on set, or having feuds with creatives. So the report about him refusing to work with The Batman director Matt Reeves sort of comes out of left field. We’ll just have to wait and see if anyone from the studio responds to these claims.

Regardless, excitement for The Batman is still continuing to build, with fans hoping to see a full trailer sooner rather than later. Matt Reeves assembled a killer cast to work alongside Robert Pattinson, including familiar faces like Colin Farrell, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Paul Dano, and Jeffrey Wright.

The Batman is currently set to arrive in theaters on March 4th, 2022. In the meantime, check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
