Juicy Spider-Man: No Way Home Rumor May Be Too Good To Be True, But It Sounds Incredible

Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War (2016)

The upcoming third installment of the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home, has been through a wild ride filled with plenty of speculation. From that crazy title reveal to a number of rumors concerning returning villains, fans have been pushed and pulled in a number of directions on what to expect from the next Spidey film. The grandest of rumors, though, is that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be returning to the big screen as their respective Peter Parkers. This rumor seems to be ever-growing, as it’s now gotten pretty incredible.

Popular Twitter user Daniel Richtman, who posts about Marvel and other film franchises, took the internet by storm when he escalated the Tobey Maguire/Andrew Garfield rumor. When recently responding to a question by one of his followers, Richtman tweeted that he had heard the two former Spider-Man stars would not only return in Spider-Man: No Way Home but would allegedly also take on roles as co-leads alongside Tom Holland.

While Daniel Richtman has proven correct on some developments in the past, he does not say where he heard this information, so we can only take this with a grain of salt at the moment. Though if this does pan out to be true, it's very likely it's not something Marvel Studios or Sony wanted to be known to the public. Followers of Richtman seem to be believing his word, as commentators on the post appear to be pretty hyped up. This isn't too surprising, though, considering that fans have been waiting for any kind of details on the web-slinger's upcoming film.

It would seem that Tom Holland is getting a lot better at keeping Marvel’s secrets now that he’s a good five years into his role as Spider-Man, because, like his co-stars, he’s not giving any spoilers about the prospects of more than just his own Spider-Man appearing in No Way Home. In fact, Holland has rejected the rumors in the past, although he does say it’s possible they chose to keep the information from him just in case he wouldn’t be able to keep it to himself, which is definitely possible.

Of course, there really could just be nothing to confirm on that front. Even though no one attached to the project nor the alleged returning Spider-Mans seem to be fessing up, a lot of fans still seem convinced that it’s happening. Whatever the case may be, something big is definitely on the way, as all signs point to No Way Home being a pretty ambitious superhero film.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has finished filming and, although not much about the plot has been totally confirmed by the people at Marvel, we know that we can expect to see the film on December 17th. It's going to be interesting to see whether Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield end up reprising their famous roles for the movie alongside Tom Holland. Thankfully, we won't have to wait too long before all of our burning answers are answered.
