The Star Wars franchise is a beloved part of film history, so much so that its ingrained in pop culture. The galaxy far, far away is occupied by all sorts of colorful droids and creatures, which become made available through merchandise associated with he property. The collective fandom is currently focused on The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda, which debuted on Disney+ and broke the internet. When The Last Jedi hit theaters, it was all about the Porgs that lived on Ach-To. And now Daisy Ridley was shared her blunt thoughts about which creature is the cutest.

Disney+ launched a few weeks ago, and with it came the first live-action series in Star Wars history: The Mandalorian. The show introduced a young version of Yoda's species, which the fandom is collectively losing their minds over. Daisy Ridley is currently busy promoting The Rise of Skywalker, and when asked of Porgs or Baby Yoda, she had a resounding answer. She said,

Baby Yoda. Look, I’m not a big fan of the Porgs. We worked for six months on The Last Jedi and in every interview, ‘What about the Porgs?’ I was like, ‘The Porgs were there for a day.’ I was there every day for six months. We worked hard.

Oh yikes. It looks like Daisy Ridley has a bit of a love/hate relationship with the Porgs. Mainly because she was asked so many questions about the bird species when promoting the last Star Wars flick, Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi. Can you blame her?

Daisy Ridley's comments from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon make a great deal of sense, given how long and grueling press must be for each Star Wars movie. George Lucas' colorful franchise is an insane money maker, with fans all around the world. As such, Ridley and company spend at least a month promoting each new release. And when it came to do that for The Last Jedi in 2017, it was all about the Porgs.

The Porgs entered the story on Ach-To, when Rey and Chewbacca travel to find Luke Skywalker. The little birds are fodder for some great comedic moments through the subversive sequel, and merch began rolling out. But Daisy Ridley worked on The Last Jedi for six long months, so she had a ton of experiences on Episode VIII that didn't have anything to do with Porgs. Cue the frustration.

It looks like Daisy Ridley is #TeamBabyYoda, joining the droves of fans who are obsessing over the little green alien from The Mandalorian. The adorable Force sensitive creature can be seen exclusively on Disney+, and you can use this link for a free 7-day trial and judge for yourself.
