New Frozen II Trailer Reveals A Hilarious Game Of Charades, And Way More Olaf

Olaf in Frozen II

We're barely more than a month away from Frozen II and while we only recently saw a trailer it seems we're not going to be left out in the cold for new footage quite yet. A new trailer has been released for the UK Disney audience and while it doesn't give us a great deal of new information regarding the characters or the plot, it does lay out the story with almost entirely new footage.

The new UK trailer also gives us a great deal more of one specific character than we've seen in previous footage. Get ready for a lot more Olaf. Check out the new trailer below.

The trailer opens with our characters playing charades, a game which Olaf is apparently a little too good at, what with him being magic and everything. From there, the trailer shows us a lot of what we've seen before. A destructive force hits Arendelle, Elsa, Anna, and company travel to an enchanted land to find the source of the danger. We meet new characters. There's a cute lizard. There are also giants.

In addition to the charades scene, we also get a couple of additional Olaf moments. One has him wandering around and autumn forest getting leaves dumped on him. The other has him trying to converse with some children about the difficulties of maturity.

This last scene likely gives us a strong indication of just how Olaf's character has changed, and will continue to change, since the first movie. Since Olaf was a brand new creation in the first Frozen, he had the mentality of a child. Now, time has passed and Olaf has begun to grow up. We know from the Frozen II soundtrack that Josh Gad's big song in Frozen II is called "When I Am Older" so clearly growing up is really on Olaf's mind. Growing up is a difficult thing for anybody. Doing it when you're the world's only magical living snowman is probably a bit more complicated.

Of course, Frozen II isn't going to be Olaf's story. While he may end up with an interesting arc, the movie is going to be about Anna and Elsa. Elsa's powers, and their origin, are apparently at the center of whatever the trouble at home is, and Anna, having only recently rebuilt her relationship with her sister, isn't about to let Elsa do any of this by herself.

Between the adventure and the comedy on display here Frozen II looks ready to provide whatever fans are looking for. The first movie was a juggernaut that is still one of the most popular things Disney has created in the modern day. The sequel is highly anticipated but it's also got a lot to accomplish. Can the new movie be as successful as the original? It seems difficult for that to even be possible, but we'll find out soon enough.
