The Rock And Ryan Reynolds Lift Hobbs And Shaw Spoiler Ban For Matching Tattoo Photos

Dwayne The Rock Johnson as Luke Hobbs in Hobbs and Shaw poster

I'd say "spoiler alert" right about now, but apparently we're past that? Hobbs & Shaw just came out last weekend with some surprise A-list cameos in the movie. Now that the Fast and Furious spinoff's second weekend is upon us, star/producer Dwayne Johnson has decided it's a fine time to officially introduce the cameo stars into the Hobbs family.

So here is Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs next to Ryan Reynolds in his cameo as CIA agent Locke:

Jason Statham joked that Dwayne Johnson's tattoos are fake because he's afraid of needles, but The Rock's tattoos -- including his Polynesian chest and arm ink -- have a lot of personal meaning for him.

Ryan Reynolds shared a version of the same photo with his own caption, which got a new reply from The Rock:

Ryan Reynolds: I can only imagine how upset I was to discover this. #HobbsandShaw @therock #RebeccaThe Rock: You pull your shirt back to reveal our ink and it looks cool & sexy. I pull my shirt back and it looks like an indicator that I eat women and children. And please stop calling me, Rebecca. What happened to our 'trust cone'?

These two. Are they the new Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart? Speaking of Hart, he's the other cameo The Rock officially brought into the fold via social media:

Classic Kevin Hart. Hobbs & Shaw director David Leitch told Collider it was an "easy call" to make to get Kevin Hart in the movie, since he and Dwayne Johnson are basically joined at the hip at this point after two Jumanji movies and Central Intelligence. Leitch also said Ryan Reynolds was the one to come up with those Game of Thrones jokes, including the spoiler during the post-credits scenes.

Last weekend, Dwayne Johnson thanked fans for making Hobbs & Shaw the #1 movie in the country. Without naming names, he also said the plan for the surprise cameo characters was to bring them back in Hobbs' next movie as members of his new team. Apparently these A-listers are ready for more Fast and Furious spinoff action.

This weekend's box office is looking like a tight race between The Lion King, Hobbs & Shaw, and new movies Dora and the Lost City of Gold and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Come back to CinemaBlend tomorrow for our weekend box office roundup. And keep up with everything heading to the big screen this year with our 2019 movie release date schedule.
