New Hilarious Video Shows The Avengers Reacting To The Justice League Trailer

This weekend was a good one for DC fans. Because after months of patiently waiting, Zack Snyder's Justice League revealed its first full trailer. The trailer featured a crap ton of fantastic action, while also keeping its major plot and antagonist a mystery (looks like they learned a lesson about the Dawn of Justice Doomsday debacle). And while DCEU followers seem happy with the trailer, what do the folks over at Marvel think? Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has already voiced his approval, and now the Avengers themselves have reacted. Not the actors- the fictional characters.

In the wake of Justice League's first trailer, one talented fan decided to make the DC and MCU movie stars collide via some clever video editing. Now you can see the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe watching in horror as the events of Justice League' trailer unfurl before them. Check it out.

Pretty great, right? Let's break down all the shenanigans and funny moments that were shown in this short video.

The above video mostly repurposes footage from The Avengers: Age of Ultron. After a little shindig (and robotic battle) at headquarters, James Spader's Ultron delivered his threats to the group via the building's video screens. This scene is perfect for the above video's purposes, as there is plenty of footage of the Avengers watching a video in horror. All you need to do is add the Justice League trailer, and you've got a recipe for viral internet success.

Perhaps the best moments from the above video draw parallel between Marvel and DC's heroes. For instance, it appears that Tony Stark feels a bit threatened by both Batman and Cyborg. When Bruce Wayne admits that his superpower is that he's just rich, Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark looks particularly offended. That one hit just a little too close to home. And then when Cyborg suits up and begins flying in the air, you can see RDJ once again getting riled up at how similar he looks to Iron Man.

This type of humor also extends to lesser known characters like Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. Because in the moments where Ezra Miller's Flash shows off his super speed, Wanda gets a little miffed. Does nobody else think that he's just a poor version of her late brother? Also, why hasn't anyone even mentioned Quicksilver? Nothing in Civil War?

The above video adds some insult to injury as well. Because in addition to the footage from Age of Ultron, there is also a scene with Vision from Captain America; Civil War that has been recycled to throw some shade at the DCEU. He says, "Our very strength invites challenge. Challenge incites conflict."

This feels to me like a dig to the DCEU. Because while Marvel essentially invented the shared universe and serialized storytelling, DC had no choice but to follow suit- albeit a few years later. The two are now in a bitter battle for studio supremacy, with the MCU still sitting as champion with critical and box office performance. But perhaps Justice League will be the shot of adrenaline the DCEU needs to finally compete with its rival.

Justice League will arrive in theaters on November 17th, 2017.
